Question about Ford Cars & Trucks
Tried dealer but want 20 quid and wont be for a week, also tried local garage but he just gave me serial number
Only a guess on my part
I would say the dealer told you they have to use
a scan tool to retrieve the radio code, since you
do not have it & it will cost you to do that
Have no idea why a local shop could not do the same thing,
& what number they gave you
When one has to remove vehicle parts, plastic & radios, etc, to get
serial numbers, there is something wrong with that picture, to
my way of thinking.
The whole idea of a radio code, is so it can not be used in another
vehicle if stolen,so why would you need a number off it

The code for your radio is 2 4 5 0
Please do leave a comment if this helped.
For anyone with a European Ford who needs a more rapid response you can obtain the code for your radio here for £3.50 which is cheap as Ford charge £20 for this.
Thanks for using FixYa.
