From your description, the car took a voltage spike. Some electrical components are very sensitive to this. Low battery voltage would cause this as well. Ensure that your charging system is working correctly by checking the output of the alternator with a multi-meter. Charging voltage should be around 13.5V with the car running. Verify that your battery is good as well. If all is found to be in good working order, disconnect the negative terminal of your battery and let the cars electrical system discharge completely by leaving disconnected for about 15-20 minutes with a door open. Connect your battery terminal ensuring that you do not arc it to the positive terminal. If this does not correct the instrument cluster, you may have a defective electrical component that requires further investigation. Hope it helps!

1998 Chevy Blazer heater core installation

Your job will be a long one, but not the worst one out there by far. You will need to unhook the battery, remove all of the lower trim from the driver and passenger sides under the dash. Remove the nuts that hold the steering column to the bottom of the dash and let is rest on the drivers seat. Remove the kick panel trim from both the drivers and passenger side foot well. There are 2 bolts on each the drivers and passenger side that hold the sides of the dash board to the vehicle, then there are I believe 6 bolts along the front edge of the dash along the windshield that need to be removed. This should let the dash be tilted back away from the windshield and rest atop the steering column. There will be an access door in the top of the heater box that will allow removal and replacement of the new heater core. You will still need to unhook the hoses under the hood, and you might need to unplug, or remove some ground wires hear and there, just make sure you take note of what you have to unplug or remove and make sure you put everything back like it was before you started.

BATTERY GOES COMPLETLY DEAD AFTER THE CAR SITS OVER NIGHT.I rebult the alt.and replaced the battery with a new one. What do i check for

parasitic drain. a drain on the battery when everything is supposed to be off. usually a short in a circuit. disconnect negative battery terminal. unplug hood light. connect cheap test light between unplugged neg cable and neg post on battery. if parasitic drain exists light will be on. unplug fuses one at a time (and plug back in) until light goes off. that is the circuit with the drain. plug back in fuse. unplug components in that circuit until light goes off. that is the faulty component. replace. retest.

What does the 15000 mile check up on the 2008 Hyundai Elantra cover?

A complete check-up of the car which should include but not be limited to:
  1. Change the oil (when was the last time you changed it?) Change the oil filter & the air filter (again, when were they changed last?)
  2. Check the coolant and brake fluid
  3. Check the brake pads - inspect all lights including turning signals (for safetys sake)
  4. Check the air pressure in the tires (including your spare tire) Check your car's alignment, this can cause uneven wear on your tires and it will believe it or not contribute to making the trip more exhausting.

Make sure you get a good rest the night/day before you depart. - if you begin to doze off dont hesitate to stop at a rest stop. Dont fight against your body, if you are tired, stop and take a 30 minute power nap, wash your face and drink a cup of coffee before you get back on the road.
Make sure you have a bottle of water in the car and plenty of good music to listen to. - Speed wise I suggest you dont travel at more than 10mph over the speed limit, traveling a little over (up to 10 mph) is tolerated by police, but I strongly sugest going 5 mph over the limit, set the cruise control and enjoy the trip without worrying about potential fines. If you do the math, the difference in time traveled is not so great:
speed limit = 70 mph (just as an example) 1300 miles @ 70 mph = 18 hours 36 minutes 1300 miles @ 75 mph = 17 hours and 20 minutes 1300 miles @ 80 mph = 16 hours 15 minutes the difference between traveling 75 or 80 is only 1 hours and 5 minutes. Not worth risking a fine for

How do you remove the clock in a 1991 honda accord?

For dashboard mount:
Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Carefully pull the clock bezel from the dash.
Remove the screws securing the clock to the dash.
Pull the clock out slightly and unplug the electrical connector.
Installation is reverse of removal.

For console mount:
Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Remove the rear console.
Remove the screws securing the front console cover and pull the assembly out slightly.
Unplug the electrical connectors on the back of the panel.
Remove the screws securing the clock (they come in from the back of the panel), then remove it from the panel.
Installation is reverse of removal.

Hope this helps you.

The driver's window lowers a little bit each time the door handle is pulled. The window is suppose to lower approx. 1" when you're opening the door to clear the convertible top but it won't raise back up...

Probably your battery is bad. either charge or replace that and then learn the windows again. (have you got your radio code before removing battery?) to learn the windows do them one at a time with door closed. hold the down button you hear a clck a few seconds after it opens fully now hold the up/close button and again wait for the click. easiest is to hold the button pressed for 10 secs after the windo has fully traveled down then send it up and again 10 secs after it stops moving.

2002 Chrysler Town & Country - Driver Front Dash Speaker Buzzes

The first thing I would do is pull the stereo out of the dash and unplug it . If the buzzing stops the stereo is bad get a new stereo. Its not hard to remove the stereo. Right above the cup holder there is a small cover you need a very small screwdriver to remove it . Under that is a few screws take those out then grab the plastic cover that runs around the stereo and pull towards the back window it simply pops off (No screws) After you remove that cover you will see 4 phillips head screws that hold the stereo in remove them. Last slide out the stereo there will be 1 plug with alot of wires that is the power and speakers . Unplug it . The other round plug is the FM antenna
