The outside sensor does not display the outdoor temerture

This is posted in cars & trucks but it doesn't sound like you are talking about a vehicle. Sounds like an indoor/outdoor weather station. These can have a limited range. Only suggestion I have is some have a channel selector - try a different frequency, there may be interferance.

Reset air temperature sensor on 2002 bravada

Instructions
1
Shut off the engine of your Bravada, remove the keys from the ignition, and open the hood.
2
Locate the plug that powers the outdoor sensor. You will find it in between the front bumper and frame of the car, just to the right of the rightmost support bracket. The sensor plug is green.
3
Unplug the outdoor temperature sensor by separating the plug from its socket.
4
Plug the sensor back in, close the hood, and start the car. If the sensor's performance has not changed, it will need to be replaced.

Does not start in morning and cold weather

If your vehicle is fuel injected the problem you describe could be result of a few different things: 1) Check your Idle Air Control (IAC) sensor/motor. This sensor is located on your vehicles, throttle body. The purpose of this sensor is to control the car's idle under various operating conditions including ambiant temperature. In order for it to function correctly, the internal components must be clean (meaning, little or no carbon build up) and it must be undamaged. Sometimes the IAC can be cleaned; however, if this cleaning procedure is not properly done, the IAC can become damaged. This sensor is also sometimes called the "Cold Start" sensor. A new IAC will cost $50-$100. 2) Check you Coolant Temperature sensor. This sensor is located on the top of your engine and is screwed into your intake manifold. When this fails your car will experience starting problems when cold outside. A new Coolant Temp sensor will cost about $100. 3) Your battery could be improperly sized for your velicle. If the Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) are not at or above the manufactures standards, your starter will not turn fast enough (when it is cold outdoors) to start your vehicle. Take a look at these three solutions first. My guess is your IAC needs to be cleaned or replaced. Good Luck!

Please remember to rate this solution. Thanks!

My garage opener remote on my 2003 santa fe just stopped working. How can I fix it?

There is a battery in the remote. If the battery gets old the remote will stop working.Replace the battery and check. Also if your battery is new but still the problem is there then, try to open the garage door by keeping less distance between remote as well as the garage door. Also there is a sensor in the garage door.If that sensor is not functioning then this can be one issue. In some cases the internal remote circuit gets short,in that case the remote needs replacement. But does the garage door sensor light shows any sign of getting connection from remote when you press the remote button.Open the door and try to close the door with remote and check. As per the problem,in most cases its weak battery related problem, and replacing the battery solves the problem. You can try all the possibilities and see which one helps.Thanks.Helpmech.

The message center shows incorrect outdoor temperature. It reads about 25 degrees higher than outside temp.

I would suspect that the connection to the outside temperature sensor is not good or the sensor itself is bad. Check the connection and clean and reattach as necessary. Otherwise replace the sensor. I think they're pretty reasonably priced.

The outside air temperature sensor for a 2000 Windstar is located under the front bumber on the passengers side. It is clearly visible if you lay down and look through the lower two air openings in the plastic bumper. It is the only electrical device in that area and it is made of black plastic.

The overhead outdoor temperature Gage reads 25-75 degrees below actual temperature I have tried resting the compass and disconnected the battery for fiver minutes. Where is the outside temperature sensor...

The outdoor temp sensor is just inside the grill when you opent the hood. The part cost around $76 and kind of looks like a electrical plug receptacle. There are little clips holding the old one in that need to be held apart to dislodge it, slip the new one in, and you're done. Took about 5 minutes.

Good luck!
