I had a battery that kept doing the same thing on a pickup...I finally pulled the battery and took it in to an advanced auto and let them fully charge it for 30 minutes...and then test it....they said one of the battery cells had gone bad and it would continue to not hold a good charge...That is why when you go buy a battery...look at the date on the side of the battery...places sell them with year old dates on them..if they go bad..they will prorate your refund with that date on the battery...not what your receipt says....been there done that...get the newest date on the battery!!

good luck!!!

If there is an overheating problem in Holden Astra diesel, does a dashboard indication come on. 2007

There should be a warning light to inform you of a fault however it will depend on what is at fault. What is happening is there steam/coolant level dropping/ fans running all the time. Can you explain in more detail?.

My 2010 Vauxhall astra combo van has F showing on gears selected dashboard panel and i cant get gears

You need to have a fault code test run on the transmission control module (TCM) as a first step to seeing what is going on here.

How do I correct error 42?

C16NZ fault code 42 This should help you out some; just follow the discussion. If you Google Vauxhall Astra error 42 there's alot that comes up on the search; not having owned an Astra, I'm not sure exactly what pertains to your problem. Good luck.

55 astra cdti cool/lev/warn light on,i change sensor in bottle & thermo stack

Assuming coolant level is ok the fault must surely be on the sensor side. Check wiring thoroughly, including cleanliness, terminal connections, continuity, damage, etc.. I would recommend plugging in the OBD 2 code scanner to see if you get a code fault. Also, the new sensor could be faulty (unlikely but possible) or the wiring at the back of the dashboard could be a poor connection (particularly if there is other dashboard issues). In my experience it will be something simple like a bad, dirty or corroded connection in the wiring terminals. As long as the coolant level is ok its just a minor issue!
