-Make sure battery cable is good connect, no corrosion.
-If cable is clean and battery is full . Possibly time for new starter.
Or take the battery to auto zone for testing.

Good Luck

SOURCE: Starter on 92 Toyota Paseo

If the battery is good then it could be power cable to starter problem or connection came loose too.

SOURCE: 93 Toyota Paseo 1.5 lit, 5 speed will not start when hot

The starter won't get hot while the car is running. The starter only works while you are cranking it over. After running a while and the car is hot, feel if your battery is not over heating. If the vaultage regulator in the alternator is bad the battery may be overcharging causing it to over heat and not want to work when boiling. After it cools down it may work again.
I this will help.

SOURCE: starter for a 95 toyota paseo

if your starter has the clip style connector on the starter itself (not the solenoid) it is the cold weather package starter. they have different starters for automatics, manuals, california models, and cold weather package. i ran into the same problem.

If you only get 1 click per key turn, sounds like the copper contact plate in the starter solenoid is worn. If you keep trying to start it and it eventually turns over click after click, then it more than likely time for a starter, or a starter rebuild if you're handy. The kits are available online for under $40

1996 Toyota Paseo check engine light on

The Paseo is OBD2 (all '96 and up are, a few 95's of certain manufacturers are also, but generally anything 95 and older is OBD1). There are 2 possible locations, the one under the hood that you found, and another in the more typical driver side of steering column, below dash.

95 paseo brake lights flickering and staying on

Look at your brake light switch attached to the upper end of your brake pedal. When the brakes are released your switch should be engaged. I would remove it and check it with a meter to make sure its working normally.
