If it is fuel injected ,have the injectors cleaned. check the fuel pressure as if it is too low then you have to have the throttle setting to wide to get power.

The more load you add, the more fuel your engine requires. Check your fuel filter for dirt and replace if not almost new.

Obvious things first. replace your air cleaner, fuel filter and put in a good quality fuel injection cleaner. do this for at least two fuel tank loads. Clean the injectors and make sure your engine is tuned. It will be fine after that...
