Driver headlight not working

Check the connect to the headlight with a meter does it have 12 volts at at one terminal? Does it have a good ground circuit? Check these items first.

Low beam lights on the passenger side works and driver side does not. high beam driver side works and passenger side does not. we have already replaced the bulbs and it did not help.

It's quite common for headlight connectors to become so tarnished that one or both of the filaments in the headlights is either dim or non-functional. One way to clean them up is to cut a strip of steel the same width as the terminal blades on the headlight (this is for push-on connectors; some vehicles use screw terminals) and long enough to hold conveniently, then cut a strip of Scotch-Brite about 6-8" long and the same width. Wrap and hold the Scotch-Brite around one end of the strip to make your contact cleaning device. Push it into the connector contact and pull it out several times. Repeat for each contact. Next, identify the ground wire for each headlight connector (black or green wire that connects to vehicle body metal somewhere nearby). Unscrew the ground terminal from the vehicle body and polish the terminal and the underside of the screw head, and clean the body metal in the area covered by the terminal.

If the headlight comes on but is still dim, repeat the connector cleaning procedure. If the headlight connector is very severely corroded, you may need to replace it.

Cant this DRL module cause the headlights and day light running lamps to quit working. For a brief period, I could use daylight running lamps sometimes in place of my headlights when they quit working. Now...

Do you have tail ligts and side marker lights with drls on? if so you will have only dim headlights. Check fuses, I think the headlights are fused seperately.

I have a 2008 Ford Fusion and the passenger side head lamp will not come on. The fog lights and driver side head lamp works but the passenger side will not work on bright or on dim, what could this be?

Hi. Since the headlight on the driver side is working then we dont have any problem with the fuse or relay. Check the wiring and the socket of the passenger headlight if it is intact to the bulb. If it is intact, then this could be a headlight problem. Time to replace the passenger headlight.

Headlights quit working on my 1998 3.8 camaro. All the fuses checked out ok.I checked for power at the bulbs and have nothing, driver or passenger side.

Check minifuses in box under hood for # 5 -20amp, and #7 -15amp. I believe power is supplied by one of those 2 for headlights. #5 should be it. If they're good, daytime running light module could be another area causing problem, if your vehicle has DRL module.
