Contact the department and lodge a change of ownership papers immediately. It may be possible to do this on line but it is your responsibility to ensure that it is done.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: recently brought renault megane, radio is locked,

First make sure that the code has not been noted somewhere within the car (underneath the ash tray, glove box , rear of sun visor etc)

To see if your code is available here for free then the radio will have to be removed from the dashboard (and if you are lucky, someone may have written the code on the casing ) .

If not then POST ANOTHER QUESTION

quoting the radio MAKE+MODEL plus ALL the LETTERS+NUMBERS on ANY LABELS ,BARCODES or STAMPED IN THE METAL CASING

There should be a 14 character Serial Number beginning r RN or PH or similar (often found stamped in the metal casing ) and maybe a Security Number in the format of TOA123 or TA123 or just A123 at the end of a barcode so please quote EVERYTHING you can find

I need to replace the ignition switch on a 2003 chev 1500 p/u it has a 5.3 engine.

You have to obtain the key code number from the dealer. If you do not have it, they will require proof of ownership and the old key.
I am not sure if you can take the truck down but that will solve lots of ownership issues.

It would be cool if you can go to the dealership that sold the vehicle. Most keep pretty good records based on VIN numbers.

1.4 Ford Escort CL PLEASE HELP

Check that the car starts and run smoothly. If the car is not driving it should be sold for spares or repair for a low price.
Check mileage, engines over 120000 tend to have serious problems if not serviced regularly.
Possible reasons for no oil, either oil had been emptied by someone, or there is a problem, if owner cannot give an explanation and the car has very low oil level there can be a leak or a problem with the engine.
Check that gears and brakes are ok, and that there is no white smoke coming out from exhaust, white smoke means head gasket gone.
check also that the engine is relatively clean, you do not want to buy a car that is leaking oil all over the engine.
The MOT paper wrong model can be normal, often DVLA has wrong car data, check the car history and papers, and eventually phone DVLA to get details confirmed.
In any case I wouldn't buy a car with no or very low oil level unless oil had been purposely emptied, in the best case this mean a leak, or that the oil had not been checked for ages.
Good luck
