Yes, it could be putting more fuel into that cylinder than it can burn.

  • Black smoke means excess fuel to the engine. A fuel injector that is stuck open may cause this. If you don't fix this soon this condition will destroy your oxygen sensor and catalytic converter. So the longer you wait the more expensive it gets.

Black smoke diesel6.5 turbo

first off, congrats, the 1548 post ive answered and no country stated. (im USA)
cars are not the same in all countries.
and you never stated that or the year.?
cars vary in DESIGN, every year, so,,,

btw, all Turbo;s are complex in nature. (controller and controls)
and the Turbo actually stops the black smoke, (reason it is so popular , besides power)
complex cars break more and are harder to fix, keep that in mind at puchase time.

and buy the FSM, for the car. so you can have the facts.

Black smoke from the exhaust is an indication of the engine running too rich. Probably bad fuel injection system.

Black smoke from tailpipe, loss of power, anyone know?

What year, make and model car is this? Most likely, black smoke is
usually a carburator problem. If it's fuel injected, black smoke can be caused by 1) leaking or faulty fuel injecters, 2) faulty choke, 3)dirty air
filter or 4) faulty distributor cap and/or rotor. Hope this helps.

Black smoke coming out of silencer

if your vehcile comes with carburetor, buy a carburetor spray and clean it thoroughly. if your vehicle comes with fuel injection pump. then you have to repair pump at a lathe workshop. usually black smoke comes due to the vehicles injection is faulty! or the air fuel mixture is not burned perfectly! thanks
