2002 Kia Sedona variable intake problems

Hi I am having trouble with my 2002 Kia Sedona. It does not seem to want to pick up speed, especially on the highway and getting up hills. I had it diagnosed and had several codes pop up. I was told that if I took care of the code p1159 that it may fix the other codes. I am not exactly sure what I am supposed to do to take care of this code. I know the code is something with the variable intake. Can someone tell me what steps I need to take in order to fix this and where the variable intake located? Thank you!

Check engine light with code p1159

that's for the variable intake motor. you'll need to replace 1/2 the intake. This is the part that controls which runner the air flow goes.

check air or a vacuum leaks and mass air flow sensor(MAF). dirty sensor not read air flow accurately and affects the EGR valve to close and allowing so much flow.

I have noticed that at times my steering on my kia sedona lx 2004 gets stiff like the power steering is gone .. as well my coolant levels are fine but i have no heat nor is the a/c blowing cold air .. what...

Some modern cars have an electrically driven pump to supply high pressure oil to operate the power steering. However, most cars have an oil pump for the steering which is turned by a belt from the crankshaft pulley. If the belt is loose or slipping, heavy steering will be the result, especially noticable at low speeds. Check belt for tightness, and check oil level is not low, possibly due to a leak?

It is mounted on the tail end of the transmission. It has two wires coming out of it typically.

FINDING THE LOCTION OF INPUT SPEED SENSOR ON KIA

The speed sensor is located on the right side facing the driver side. It is on the transmission under the air filter and air line that leads to the intake manifold. It is on the left side of the transmission. It is not on top of the transmission but on the left side of the transmission close to the firewall. It is best to raise the car and locate it from underneath.

KIa Mentor engine light

if the light came on it could be a fluid level warning. In most models today they don't have a light or gauge for the levels. I would check this first. you mention a hesitation, this could be as simple as changing the fuel filter or a faulty O2 sensor. Best bet is ti have a diagnostic scan done to find out if there is an active code present in your ECM.please rate this.....thanks
