Question about 2001 Lincoln LS
Battery is good, but the car will not start.
A common problem is the Inertia sensor. This is a safety device. It is suppose to kill the power to the fuel pump in event of an accident. It has a reset button on it. Do a Web search for location and looks of part.

Go to website lincolnvscadilac.com and try a search there. Do the lights dim when you attempt to start? Does it crank over with no start? Fuel pumps are a problem and check the fuse (40) amp for fuel pump in the trunk. Can you hear the fuel pump run when you turn key to on (not start)? I switched 7 fuses for the fuel pump before finally changing the thing.

you need to find the starter solenoid and jump the two largest posrs with booster cables .if it canks repace the starter.if all your hearing now is a clicking sound you need to jump power to the solenoids start wire,a push on wire on the smaller post of the solenoid ,if it cranks replace the solenoid.if neither makes it crank, repair the grounrd cable or remove the starter and remove the rust from the nose cone and the mounting point.
