No. I don't think yours has security at all, but if it does. It is a switch at the door handle. Where you insert the key. when you unlock the door, you disable the security.

Will a regular key start a 2005 dakota.

unless it's a chipped key, sure.
I keep a cheap copy in my wallet. It will start my car (2004) but the engine shuts off after seconds because it didn't read the chip.

Could be a problem with the dimmer switch. I would disconnect it and see if it still happens.

The pass key fault light blinking and my car won't started in my 95 chevy caprise does that mean its something wrong with the key?

did you get a new key made without the chip? The car will not run without the chip in the key. Could be a bad chip in the key itself. Get a replacement where they sell keys with a key chip identifier.

1995 dodge dakota computer error code 12,back up memory power lost. how to fix?

This code only means that you have disconnected the power to the PCM.
This code will stay until 50 key turns have been completed from the last time you disconnected the battery.
Your check engine light should not be on if this is your only code.
If this helps and one give some feed back
Hope this helped FixYa.

How do I get a set of replacement keys for a 1995 Monte Carlo Z34. The ignition key had a microchip in it.

If you do not have the original key, you can take the vin number and proof of ownership and the dealer should be able to help you. If not you will have to have it towed to a chevy dealer. The chips can be read, but if you do not have the chip they they have to determine what chip the car us using.

Hope this helps.
