Check your brakes. And would check gear box for physical damage and start in from there.

make sure ebrake isnt applied first... then with the vehicle jacked up see if the wheels turn... then since they dont you need to make sure its either the ebrake system or the rear brakes arent locked up which could be the rubber hose going from the chassis to the read end... this will get you started. let us know

What i would start with is jack up the rear two tires and try to freely move them with your hands.

If they are locked in place then you have a problem with your rear brakes.

If the back ones both turn freely. Then move on to the front and jack up the front of the car.

You can check to see if the transmission by either turning on the vehicle and putting it in drive with both front tires off the ground and see if both spin freely. If one if them locks up then you have a problem with your front brakes.

Take it one step at a time and check everything out brake wise again, even though you latched and released the parking brake the spring mechanism could be broken and locking it in place.

Used low 4x4 left the truck parked apparently in 4x4 low now it wont come out of low range

Remember that you have to get out of low the same way you went into low. You have to have the vehicle stopped and in Neutral before it will release low gear. It is possible that you have pressure against the servo pin keeping the parts locked in position. This would be similar to getting out of PARK when your vehicle is jammed against a concrete parking bumper or incline.

I would try to use reverse and see if you can rock the pin free, then go to neutral and change to high on the transfer case. You may need to check your fluid levels in the transmission and transfer case.

Parking it in Low should not be a problem unless the servo pin rusted in place. For that matter it could have rusted in place in High too! I hope my tips will enable you to get your vehicle going. There is only so much you can do without turning a wrench. All you can do is check for either Vacuum or Power at the servo itself before working on the servo.

The 4x4 does not shift into 4 wheel drive not 4 hi or 4 low

Check the fuse to the 4x4, if the fuse is good then check the 4x4 electric motor actuator on the transfer case. You should hear it work from 2wd, 4hi to 4low and back to 2wd with the push of the switch. if you don't hear it working then check the wire harness at the actuator motor, look for any damages like corrosion or cracked wire connector clips. If the 4x4 actuator is working on the transfer case, then the front hub 4x4 actuator may have gone bad and that's located on the front differential. It's common for the clip there to corrode and break and is an easy fix with a new collar pin, at worst it's the diaphragm on the vacuum actuator that is located under the battery tray. There is a vacuum switch on the top of the transfer case, driver side but when that fails, your front hub stay's locked in the on position. Good luck and keep me posted and hope it's a simple fuse that has gone bad. You can pick up all these parts at Auto Zone or Parts Source and they will have the step by step instructions for you to get the job done with common tools.

Rear brakes might be locked up???

Firstly it might be an idea to release the brakes so you can get the vehicle to a suitable place for repair. Something has gone wrong in the brake master cylinder or the pressure valve (if fitted) although I suspect the former. The hydraulic pressure can be released by loosening the nut on the brake pipe that goes to the rear brakes or undoing the bleed nipples on the rear cylinders a couple of turns. Try to bleed the brakes enough to get them working and then drive to a place of repair. Otherwise remove the master cylinder, strip down and repair or replace.

put truck in reverse hit brakes constantly and then go for drive in first gear. .... problem was brakes got all locked up ...... to not drive a vehicle is the worst thing u can do to it . hope i helped ELI

Brakes just dont seem right.. dealer said they put on new front rotors when i 1st complained.. but only got alittle better, brakes still seem like i have to apply with alot of force, when with my wifes...

If the vehicle has rear drum brakes, I would check the adjustment on them, if they are too loose, this will cause the brake pedal to go down low.
