By fan belt do you mean the serpentine belt that spins all your accessories? If so check the tension on the belt. The belt tensioner controls this. If the tension is good, then one of your accessories is likely not spinning like it should causing the belt to slow down when the ac is on, causing the power steering pump to not spin like it should. I would take the belt off, spin each component separately and see if anything is stiff.

Suzuki ignis 2002 was making a sqealling sound then the battery light came on then temperature rose then settled again any ideas please

check drive belt . If it drives the power steering as well then it may be loose and not driving the water pump and alternator (battery light and temperature rise)/ Loose belt on power steering pump = squeal noise

Hard to steer 2000 Dodge Neon but belt is okay

Check to see if you enough Steering Fluid. If the fluid was recently flushed, make sure they put right kind of fluid. I once had my fluid replace and they topped it with the wrong spec fluid. Had to reflush and put the correct fluid. Belt will usually make noise, not cause the steering to stiffen up. Hope this helps, let us know if a better answer comes along.

Big white fan connected or near radiator not working causing my temperature guage to slowly rise while im driving the car. i then switch my air-con on while driving slowly temperature goes down

That's the radiator fan malfunctioning. Check the fan motor itself by conecting direct to battery while disconected from harness. If not OK replace. If OK check the fan switches, These are sensors that turn the fan on when temperature rises. If bad replace.

Air conditioner wont turn on

It might be the fuse for the AC compressor. Check to make sure the blower motor/fan is working by putting it on heat, or vent and adjusting the level from low to high (not temperature). Fan speed. Hope this gets you started.

AIR CONDITIONER QUIT WORKING

Pop the hood, start the vehicle and turn the AC on. Watch the compressor, it should have a center that rotates on an off and you should hear a clicking sound. This is the compressor clutch you are looking at. If the compressor is not doing this, check the fuses for the AC. If the fuses are good, then most likely the high side sensor switch is not working, therefore the clutch never engages and the air never gets cold.

Try that and get back to me, ok?

Fan belts

the dodge neon doesnt have any fan belts. It does have a v belt that drives the air conditioner and power steering. Their is also a surpenteen that drives the generator. its best to replace both at the same time. the best way to do that is jack up the car and remove the passenger tire. remove the cover with a 10mm socket should be 3 of them. cut the old ones off. when you put the new ones on use a socket to rotate the harmonic balancer to help put the new surpenteen belt on. then do the same with the v-belt. this way you dont have to loosen anything or tighten anything. just becarefull not to damage the belt while installing.
