It's the drive shaft gearbox bearing and is quite straight forward to replace , i would advice getting a good workshop manual as will have step by srep guide

it could be the wheel bearing have you checked thefront brake pads and have you checked that the backing plate you havent bent and it is toutching the disc this some times accures good luck Lindz

Yes you can do this; the bearings are sealed unit hubs; very easy the cost is only about $70 each at an auto parts store. once you look at them you'll know how to do this.

you have to replace bearing and hub as a unit.you have to remove remove brakes and caliper rotor set them aside dont disconnect brake line. get a piece of clothes rack wire to hold brake caliper .do not let it hang by brake hose. you got to remove hub nut. best way to do that is loosen it a litttle while tire still on weight of car keep wheel from turning .

Cv joints will usually pop when they are worn out. I would suspect that its the powersteering, check the pumps fluid level and the tension on the belt.
