Grasp the belt with both hands and pull down hard! This should release the tension!

Every time I go over a big bump in road one ,two or even three rear seat belt lights come on and then start pinging/ringing and do not stop until either I switch engine off or fasten rear seat belts.

The sensors in the seat detect weight and assume there are occupants in the seats without the seat belts done up and this then triggers the warnings. If you are carrying items on the seat that bounce when you hit a bump that may trigger the alarms. Even movement in the seat unit itself when you hit a decent bump could trigger the sensors.

Just keep the rear seat belts done up and you will not have a problem with false warnings.

Change serpantine belt

The easiest way to change a serpentine belt is to go and buy a serpentine belt tool (Around $15-$20 at the auto parts store.) It's a long, flat wrench with bits that will fit most belt tensioners. The idea is to move the belt tensioner down, to allow the belt to relax so you can pull it off.
Once you have the belt off, follow the serpentine belt installation diagram on a sticker, located under the hood. Then, while pushing down on the belt tensioner, slip the belt on to the last pully and then slowly bring the tensioner back to tension. Double-check your belt routing with the belt diagram before starting your Grand Cherokee.

I hope this helps! :)

My Rear middle seat belt is in the lock position and will not pull out to use. I put the seat down to haul something and when i put the seat back up the seat belt is so tight it is pulling the seat...

you need the car on level ground and try to take tension off the side that retracts however you can. hold it there a few seconds and try to slowly move the belt. good luck

Seat belt on rear seat has jammed

This happens to me also. To solve the problem you need to un-bolt the seat belt clip. A bit tricky when the bench is tight down, but get a friend to hold it up out of the way as much as possible. This will relieve the tension and allow the seat belt to return to normal. To prevent this in future, pull the seat belt out and clip it in to place before lowering the back bench. This allows enough slack on the seat belt tensioner to stop the problem from happening again.

Rear seat down and wont go back up; locked middle belt

middle seat belt shouldn't have anything to do with it. The seat locks down for stowage in the rear cargo area. you can pull the release handle on the back of the seat to release it back into the up position.

Volvo V70 rear seatbelt jammed

i know this sounds rough, but pull the seat belt with both hands as hard as you can, this will more than likely free the seat belt, some of the seat belt may have jammed in the gear inside the roller box.......

My rear seat belts have locked with the seat in the down position and i can not put the seat back up

I had a problem like this. The seat belt stop (the small button through the belt) had broken and fallen off. When I tried put the seat up the belt had wound too tight and with no slack wouldn't release. I had to unbolt the bottom end of the seat belt from the floor and raise the seat. While I had the unit off the floor I had slack enough to release the belt and extend it to bolt the floor unit back down. There should be two of these button on the belt. One keeps the belt from rewinding too far and the other one holds the seat belt latch up on the belt. You can buy these buttons from some auto parts stores. You might have to buy a bag full, but they're not expensive. Good luck..
