Question about Nissan Altima
Need to deactivate escl to start car. Can I remove fuse or clip a single wire? Which wire to clip? does it have to be in neutral?

first problem sounds like your neutral safety switch is grounding out on something, maybe and exposed wire arching across making it complete the curcuit, or could be the same problem happening at the starter on the engine. Disconnect your battery and put the fuse back in the car, leave the fuse box alone unless theres a fuse blown and use the disconnected battery as a way to turn on and off the power while working on the car. Using the fusebox to turn on and off power is only going to confuse you more and give you a sore back. As for the 4 way flasher question, most cars have a separate fuse thats round and silver just like the turn signal fuse that work the 4 ways, its more like a fused relay.

SOURCE: I have a 2009 Nissan Altima. It just started to idle very rough when it's in drive-at low rpm, like when stopped in traffic or at a light. It does not do it when it's in Park, Neutral or Rever
