SOURCE: 1995 Dodge Ram 1500 2WD 5.9L fuel pump or???

Code 12 doesn't correlate, but Code 1282 may provide some insight. Code 1282 is "The fuel pump relay circuit seems to be having a problem", which would explain the disconnect/reconnect trick that sporadically works. Have the relay circuit looked at.

SOURCE: no gas going through fuel pressure regulator on 1995 dodge carava

I doubt the regulator is bad, the fuel pressure regulator is after the injectors in the return stream to the tank, more likely it is the fuel pump.

1995 dodge dakota, fuel pump not working after it warms up, checked relay, god what else could it be?

Could be your pump going out. Only way to be sure is check if power is available at the fuel tank connector when the pump isn't working. If a voltmeter or test light still shows power on the fuel pump wire, then you probably need a new pump.

Cannot find location of fuse for fuel pump on an 85 Ford F250. Is it in the power distribution box. If so what is that location

Hi, it may be a fusible link in the wire rather than a fuse. Note that there may also be an inertia switch in the circuit. I have pasted the 1986 diagram below, which I think is correct for the 1995 fuel injected engine. I recommend probing the relay socket to see what is wrong. The yellow wire should be hot, else check the fusible link. The red wire should be hot when the key is on--this is the positive signal to the relay coil. The tan wire should be ground when the key is on. If all of this is right, the brown wire to the pump should be hot when the key is on. If it is, the problem is the inertia switch, the wire to the pump, or the pump itself. If power is getting to the pump and the pump is good, check the ground connection to the pump.

We have a 1997 Ram1500 Pickup with a 360 magnum. It will not start. It will spin over but won't catch. We have checked all fuses and relays. It is getting fire to the plugs. We have checked the fuel lines...

so is it not getting fuel?? if not i would listen if the fuel pump is running it should be good, and the first thing i would do is change the fuel filter, but yes the fuel pump is in the tank, and by saying it will spin over, is that like really fast, or turn over normally.. if its really fast you had a timing chanin go.

Where is the fuel pump relay on a 1988 dodge dakota w/ a 3.9 , can I check the hot wire to the fuel pump to see if the relay works before I go to buying parts? Not a refund on electrical parts, and the...

The relay for the fuel pump is under the hood but most likely the fuel pump itself. One way to check is use a test light at the tank it should have three wires one is sending unit one is ground and third is hot turn the key and check for power or if you like you can check by putting a screwdriver to the tank and the other end to your ear turn the key on and listen for humming.

Hope this fuels your fire!

Fuel pump relay hot

You could have a loose connection going to the relay. Loose or bad connections cause amperage to rise causing heat to rise. Check the plug holes where the relay pins plug in. Check for blackened metal or melting plastic around the pins. If so, check under the relay box for burnt wires, etc. and repair.

1995 dodge van falls down when the fuel tank gets to 1/4 of fuel

sounds like a possible pluged fuel filter or a tired fuel pump. the pump is cooled by the gas. so if you work it at 1/4 tank or below it tends to get hot. but towing may make it hot anyway. check fuel pressure and the replace the fuel filter
