Going on there own accord means. A problem behind one of the door covers you just have to find out which one is not moving or making a noise.

Windows wont roll down

I suspecft this is a security programming situation. I have something similar going on with my '95. I have to get an owners manual to find the sequences. I stumbled into this by manually locking the front door and turning on the key with the door open.
re: the dash lights. I find if I have the interior light dimmer all the way to the right it locks out some things but moving it back to the middle puts it back in operational mode. aside from the flashing, non playing stero. At least I can drive it and powerlock the doors IF the doors are closed.

My car will crank but if i hit the power locks it will die.

Do you have an alarm/anti-theft device? It sounds like that is malfunctioning and causing the problem. When you hit the locks, it's enabling the ignition lock because the anti-theft thinks someone is trying to steal the car. Disable the anti-theft (pull the fuses or whatever you have to do) and give it a try. FYI, power locks and windows on GM cars are notorious for wearing out and not working after 10 years or so. Every GM I've ever owned has had this problem. Windows go up and down really slow and locks will not always engage. The locks not locking could be a separate issue.
