If the coolant is coming out from in between the transmission & the engine it usually means that one of the freeze plugs on the back of the engine is rusted out. keeping the right amount of coolant in the cooling system keeps them in good condition longer. when mine went out I had them replaced with brass plugs, they will last longer.

SOURCE: 1999 GMC sonoma starte installation

2.2L Engine remove protective shields as needed then remove front exhaust pipe. Remove the brace from the engine to the clutch housing, then disconnect starter wiring. 4.3L Engine 2 wheel drive just remove the right front tire and you will have access to the wiring. 4.3L Engine 4 wheel drive you must remove the differential carrier shield if equipped then remove the starter bolts and rotate the starter to get access to the wiring. Good Luck.

SOURCE: 1999 Dodge Ram 360 5.8 liter engine feels like transmission is sl

Hi, the problem you are having sounds like the differential needs replacing this can be expensive and hard work but not doing this can cause further damage to your vehicle so its better get it done sooner rather than later.
If on the other hand your only getting a vibration through the steering wheel then this could be that the wheels need balancing.
You should know which of the two problems you have if you need further assistance then just let me know ok

Firing order for a 1991 GMC Sonoma 4.3 liter v-6 is 1-6-5-4-3-2.

The number one plug is the first one facing you on the right and the last plug to fire is the first one facing you on the left. The rotor button spins counter clockwise.

Hope this helps (remeber to rate and comment this answer).

Coolant problem (leaking somewhere)

If this is a 4.8, 5.3 or 6.0 liter they are notorious for water pumps. The 4.3, 5.0, or 5.7 liter are known for intake gaskets. Both leak slowly at first and evaprate from engine heat quickly.
