If it is a front wheel drive vehicle then the clicking noise ( especially on turns) will be from a badly worn CV joint, When repairing do both sides as they will both be in the same condition.

Where is the mode actuator in kia sportage 2006

Hi Judith , that clicking noise is annoying ! That's what there do when there wore out, just plastic gears inside. It is located under the dash left side I'll add a picture of it's location. You will probably have to take some kind of panel off on the left side under the steering wheel .Have to lay on floor to look up under the dash to see it. Once you do that you can reach you hand up and feel the actuator clicking,

What kind of oil is needed in the rearend

If it did not have oil it would make the noise going straight. Check your brakes and the wheel bearings for play. Oil should be a GL5 70-90 wt gear oil.

2000 mercury sable ls squeaks in the front when it gets cold, what should i put on the front end joints and stuff? Highly annoying.

If it happens when the steering wheel is being turned left or right when parking, it could be dry tie rod ends. They will have to be replaced and greased up well to get rid of the sound. This happened to my dad's 1998 Ford Taurus.

Where is the oil filter

Passenger side or the engine. Or if you were standing in front of the car to the left, easiest access is to be under the car.

My 2001 Kia Sportage w/145,000 and has a annoying tapping sound

When the engine warms up it should be fine.
Check that you are using the proper oil. Also check if there is a winter oil recommended. Sometimes winter oil is a bit lighter weight and can help keep the ticking noise down or gone all together.

Yea,I turned my car on and I have this annoying clicking sound what is it?

It could be a valve clicking. Try checking the oil, alot of time if the car is low on oil it will cause them to click. If that's not it, then you may need to take it to a local, dependable mechanic to see if the valve can be adjusted, if they can't you need to replace the head. The other thing it may be is that it has thrown a rod. Keep an eye on the oil pressure to see if it keeps good pressure. If it doesn't you may need a new motor.

Steering makes annoying sound when you turn left or right but it turns fine

Is it making a 'screeching' sound?
You will have to check the power steering oil level in the reservoir and secondly the power steering pump belt may require adjusting i.e. tightening.
Hope this helps!

Innermitent noise from the oil pressure signal

When you turn left or right sounds like your CV joints on the drive shaft. They may need replacing. Your oil problem could be a faulty oil pressure sensor or a failing oil pump. These need checking out by someone who knows what they are doing. If the oil pump fails, you may end up needing a replacement engine.
