The only way to save 'gazilions $' is to do the job your self , search for the part online , follow this link for a u-tube video showing how to replace the ballast ( it doesnt show the head lamp removal ) but there will be another video for you to search for that

SOURCE: burned out headlight/bulb bmw 1991 325i 2dr

It's a bulb replacement. If it's anything similar to my Audi, there is a cover on the back of the headlight housing that you pop off. Then you can reach in, pull the wire connector off the bulb, and unclip a metal retainer over the bulb, and pull the bulb out. Installation of the new one is the reverse. Just be SURE not to touch the glass part of the bulb. Skin oils can cause a halogen bulb to burn very hot and burn out very quickly. If you do touch the glass, wipe it gently but thoroughly on a cotton cloth to clean it off before you install it.

SOURCE: Low Beam Drivers Side doesn't work ... low voltage,

Power for the headlights on the Left side (High and low beam.) comes from the same fuse... The ORANGE wire and the ORANGE/BLACK are the same, they connect in the harness. If you only lack the 12v to make the light work connect them at the headlight assembly.

If your low beam also lacks ground the Left low beam ground is shared with the right low beam ground... Run a wire from left low beam DARK BLUE to right low beam DARK BLUE/WHITE.

If its not working now then your cursed, seek a witch doctor.

I have a 2011kia optima I replaced both low beam head lights about 3months ago,and 3weeks ago the driver side low beam went out again. I replaced the bulb again but still didn't work. What's wrong with it?

could be a short, bad or loose ground and maybe blew a fuse. check fuses and wiring for aforementioned problems. also if they are the H.I.D lights the ballast (should be a small, usually black box, either on the back of the bulb or wired in-line) is bad.

Headlamps not working.

is the light setup one ballast for high and low beam ? if so the ballast has gone, probably even the bulbs. replace the ballast and bulbs. some aftermarket ballasts don't last, if you cannot find the right ballast for replacement you will need to replace both ballasts. as every ballast set are set the same and sold in pairs.

I have a 2004 bmw 325i the low beams work but I can't get the high beams to turn on. Brought it to a local mechanic and said it would need to be re-programed at the dealer. Sounds fishy to me. What do you...

Unfortunately these BMWs are prone to all manner of electrical problems.

Usually, the low beams and high beams are wired through separate relays (refer to your owners manual for fuse and relay info). It could be that there is a fault in the high beam relay (assuming that the globes in your headlights have been checked and are all OK).
I would recommend you get the car to a reputable auto electrician to check it for you.
Before doing that I would also talk to the nearest BMW dealership service department (a competent service rep) and tell him the problem. You can bet that there have been plenty of owners coming in with the same problem and if they are any good they should be able to tell you immediately what the likley issue is and what the fix is. If you get nothing call another dealer service dept rep.

Left zenon low beam flickers and the left front bulb warning indicator is on

Sounds like the power ballast is failing - that's what takes the 12v signal from the car and amplifies it up to a level sufficient for driving the xenon bulb. Swap the ballasts between the headlights (they're easy to dismount) and see if the flicker goes to the other side (swap only the ballasts - leave the bulbs in their existing positions). If the flicker moves to the other side, the ballast is the problem. If it stays on the left side, the bulb needs replacement.

Search online for the bulbs - the dealer will kill you on pricing (the Audi dealership wants $200 each for my A4's xenon bulbs, but I can find them online for about $30 per pair (or less)). You'd want to order a D2S style bulb for an OEM BMW fitment, in 4300k color temperature.

BMW mini 2002 model low beam fault

Check your connections and make sure the sockets are clean. If that doesn't work, looking into the Ballast (High Voltage, be careful) to see if that's the fault.
