Im replacing the clutches in a chrysler 8.25 rear end and cant get the spider gear washer back in. My ? Is can i pull the center section to put them in and if i do will i have to readjust anything to...

the spider gear washers are located at the back of the spider gears and to remove/replace them then the diff carrier has to be split. IF you have the diff in your hand but cannot put it back in the housing then what you are referring to are the side bearing preload shims (washers) If you have the diff that comes out of the back of the housing leaving the pinion behind then on either side of the housing when the axle tubes go into the housing you will see 2 round holes ( about 5/8" dia) there is a rectangular tool that picks up these holes and by the use of a spreader bar actually bends the housing enough to slide the shims in to place. when you pulled the centre out you probably need a pry bar to do so and that would have been the preload on the side bearings of the carrier.

How to disassemble a cv joint

FSM
Remove the halfshaft from the vehicle and secure in a vice equipped with jaw covers.
During joint service, reference marks should be placed on the joint housing, halfshaft and joint spider to ensure that all components are installed in the same position from which they were removed. If this precaution is not observed, uneven or premature component wear may result.
  1. Remove the large differential boot clamp by drawing the clamp hooks together using tool J-35566 or equivalent.
  2. Remove the small differential-side boot clamp. Slide the differential-side boot toward the center of the halfshaft. Place a reference mark on the differential-side joint housing and halfshaft.
  3. Remove the differential joint housing from the Tripod joint spider. Place an index mark on the Tripod joint spider and halfshaft.
  4. Remove the snap-ring and Tripod joint spider from the halfshaft.
  5. Remove the differential-side boot from the halfshaft.
  6. Remove the boot clamp from the wheel-side boot.
  7. Remove the small clamp from the wheel-side boot.
  8. Remove the wheel-side boot from the halfshaft. Place a reference mark on the wheel-side joint and the halfshaft.
  9. Remove the wheel-side joint from the halfshaft by expanding the snap-ring.

Do not disassemble the wheel-side joint. If any abnormality is found in the joint, replace it. Do not disassemble the Tripod joint spider. If any abnormality is found in the spider, replace it as an assembly. Do not wash CV-joint boots or spider in solvent. Clean the spider assembly and boots with a clean, dry, solvent-free rag.

best it to buy the FSm book and see photos.

Leaking rear axle seal

Yes...You need to also remove the cross shaft for the spider gears (retained by either a bolt or drift pin) and then push the axle inward to remove the "c" clip on the end.
It isn't difficult but you may want to get yourself a haynes or chiltons manual to help a bit.You need to take care that after the cross shaft is out that you don't let the spider gears walk out of the housing.

Know if my 95 chevy blazer has a spider CPI?

A spider injector is located underneath the intake plenum and this is multi-port. Otherwise you have a throttle body injector system. Vortec engines have spider injectors and they are super expensive to replace ($400.00- 850.00) each ! There is only one spider injector for each engine it has 6 legs/fuel tubes that go to each cylinder.

93 gmc jimmy 4.3 vortec has a flooding problem. I pulled the injectors from the motor and turned the key on and excessive amounts of fuel sprayed out. could that be caused by the spider?

The most likely 2 causes are leaking fuel pressure regulator on the side of the spider, or leaking fuel LINE going into or out of the spider. Both are reasonably common failures. a replacement spider would come with a new regulator but NOT a new line, so verify which is leaking before you order a spider up.

They do not fail that often anymore, not like 5 or 8 years ago when gasoline still had mtbe in it, the vortec unit is very dependable nowadays.

What is a spider indicator?

There is no "Spider Indicator", but the fuel injection system is sometimes referred to as a spider assy because it has a central unit with individual legs (hoses) going to each cylinder. There are also gears in the differential housing that are reffered to as side or spider gears.

How to replace spider regulator on a 1999 gmc jimmy

This fuel pressure regulator is a component part of the SFI (sequential fuel injection) assembly, sometimes referred to as "spider". It resides inside of the air intake plenum and is accessed by removing the upper half of the intake.
Good luck and hope this helps.
Most of the time when your having problems, it's most likely going to be the whole spider unit. GM has been know to have problems with this type of fuel injection system.
Check the vacum line to the fuel pressure regulator at the back of the spider housing by the high pressure fuel line. You can see it just in front of the distributor cap and spider assembly.
