Pleas check out the fuel flow If the pressure is ok and the flow is low the engine wont rev out.

96 olds lss turns over but something is robbing the power security light stays on

The security light is for anti-theft system ,when the light is on or flashing ,it think's the vehicle is being stolen . It will disable the fuel system ( fuel injectors ) so it won't start ! Does your key have a pellet on the side of the key ? Trying to find out which anti-theft system yours has . If it does have a little black pellet on the side of the part that goes into the ignition lock cylinder , That pellet is a resistor an when you fit into the the lock cylinder there are two contacts inside the lock that read the resistance . There is a module that then can say if it's the right resistance or not , allowing or not to let the fuel injectors fire. The problem with this anti-theft system the contacts and or the wires break ! This is the VAT'S - vehicle anti -theft system or they have pass lock - pass key 1 , 2 , 3 . On the vats system a by-pass can be done . On you tube there are videos showing how to do it .

2005 impala security light on

now there is a way to Bi pass the system. yes I said bi pass. the pass lock system GM uses is junk. they should have fixed the issue with a recall years ago. there are a few ways to also check if it is the system itself though. the first part is a relearn of the key.

turn the key like you are going to start the car ( but do not start it) let the key sit there for 10 min ( repeat this step total of 3 times) o the 3rd time after the 10 min is up try to start the car. If it starts you should be good to go. If it don't start you can go ahead and go to local junk yard. get a cross reference from the people behind the counter of what you need. it will be the ignition lock cylinder that you need. ( yes the entire lock cylinder ) also if you are savvy enough get the trunk and the door locks too. ( that way you don't have a bunch of keys on your key chain just 1 key. ) but you replace the lock cylinder ( since the cylinder itself has the chip for the security system in it) then you do the relearn all over again. this should solve the problem with the car. I have done this a few times on GM vehicles because the pass lock system is junk. to bypass the system just ask and I will send you a link for the instructions on how to do it.

I’m happy to help further over the phone at

Car won't start change fuel pump, fuel filter and only starts with starting fluid and dies please help

I had same problem. That's when I found out 2 things: 1) some cars have 2 fuel pumps. A low pressure and a high pressure. Low pressure to get fuel to high pressure pump that feeds the injector system. And 2) After an injector system has been run dry, you need to "prime" the system. A real pain.

My 2000 chevy impala starts and runs for a bout 2 seconds. I've been told its the pass 2 security system I tried to bypass that it did not work so since the car has 2000000 thousand miles I thought I...

Well, you wont be able to hotwire it direct. Thats why the Passlock is there. The TDM (theft deterrent module-also called Body control module- or computer) must receive and send the correct signal to let the injectors work. Thats why you car is shutting down. I dont know what you used as a BYPASS, but there is a really great one here that illiminates ALL parts of this system permanently. Read through this link and check out the PERMANENT FIX part. Sounds like this is what you need. Trust me on this one, you will NEVER be able to hotwire that thing, They are wound REALLY tight, and the Passlock system has its fingers in more than just the starter, it allows fuel doors to open, injectors to spray, and sometimes spark in general.

2000 chevy impala starts rough, replaced pass lock cylinder, mass air flow sensor, still starts and dies, usually by the third time of this it starts normal and runs like no problems

When was last tune up? Plugs, wires, all filters & fluids??? Especially fuel filter??? I'd start there and run a good fuel system cleaner through it with next tankful of fuel. You might also consider having a fault scan done. (OBII scan) Autozone, Advance and any good parts store can do it for you FREE

My 2001 alero is running real rough and trying to overheat, it has oil and water and gas what could it be?

Replace your thermostat. This allows coolant to travel through your engine. It could be stuck close not allowing enough coolant to pass through.
