Abs and brake light 99 dodge ram

My neighbor has a 99 Ram and his abs light wouldn't go off. As a brake mechanic myself. I replaced brakes all around , in which it needed, light still on so there is some kind of sensor on top of the rear end. Replaced that and still on. The only thing that is left is the block at the master cylinder, that runs about $300.00, so my neighbor don't want to spend that much. but that is about the only thing left.

1998 ford ranger...was charging battery, started hearing a clicking sound...neighbor said he heard a small pop and now nothing...any help for what to check

Ford use to put a fuse-able link at the battery end of the cable that feeds the fuse box, these were replaced with maxi fuses, again mounted near the battery, sometimes in a plastic box. If everything has gone off that sounds like the problem.

Mj, check the manufacturer's web site, they may have diagrams, or how to replace the belt. I wouldn't think it would be real difficult, but of course if you don't have the tools, it can be 'interesting'. Hope u have some helpful neighbors--good luck!countrycurt0

Self level suspention inactive

I had a very similar problem, ended up removing the rear suspension rubber air springs , covering them with soapy water and then partly inflating them with a DIY compressor, was easy to see rubber air springs had started to perrish and leak in the 1/2 way down. I was convinced it was not the air springs as often the car would not sag for a day or two.- fitted new air springs ( agents only,as far as i know ) and X5 is 100% Towed a heavy trailer last weekend and perfect. ( i fitted them myself jack the car up and should take you about 3 hours.) good luck

Rear brakes

I think its too difficult you have a friend, family or neighbor that understand in those things? if not, take it to a mechanic, don't take risks, you'll be sorry for that, i been there and im sorry for what i done.
