Question about 2004 Chrysler Pacifica

1 Answer

Chrysler Pacifica heater not blowing hot air. Fan is blowing for rear but not front. Do you think this a heat blower regulator issue or caused by something else?

Thanks Jack. I am not sure if it is the blower motor since it is running. I was thinking it could be the Blower Motor Resistor but after resetting (using power+recirc button for 5 seconds), the back started blowing although it was still blowing cold air.

Testimonial: "2004 AWD 6cyl - Update: I was able to perform a reset (using the power and recirc button) and was able to get the rear blower motor to come on. It is only blowing cold air and the front/defrost still are not working."

I'd have to check voltage and ground at the front blower motor with hvac turned on, if good voltage and ground with no blower action, suspect the blower motor. I don't know what testing you've done. I'm new to the site, not sure how to post follow up? or images, I'm trying.

I got it (after playing with the code you sent). Thank you! If only the car was a website then I would probably have more luck since that is what I do :)

I'm sorry I misunderstood. I'd have to check temp door. Can you check for hvac trouble codes.

Is the cooling system full, are the heater hoses hot? Does the engine reach normal operating temp? If this is automatic temp control, can you operate manually?

I am getting ready to head out to pick the wife up in it. I will let you know how it goes.

Is your heater blower motor working on all speeds ? Are you get any air coming from the rear vents ?

My AC and Heater blower isn't working in the front vents of my 2004 Chrysler Pacifica what is the problem

If the air blows out of all of your other vents then you have either had an actuator go bad which controls which ducts the air flows through, or the shaft that has the "flap" on it has popped loose and no longer moves which will only allow air to go to the vents that are not locked. The easiest way to find out would be to get under the dash and start at the fan and trace air flow til you find the problem.

A/C issue in Chrysler Pacifica

You will need to remove the dash to get to the duct work just to clean it properly. You may have some damaged blend doors that will need to be replaced.

Front blower fan stopped working, hot air comes out of the vents when heat is on and going down the road but fan does not work. Rear blower still works but it will not blow out hot air.

There is a thermal fuse inside the air duct. It is located behind the passenger glove compartment. tilt the glove door down and remove and look in. You will see a conector with about 4 to 5 wires. usually held on with two screws remove and inspect. The thermal fuse that runs between the coils will be open. Bypass it at your own risk or buy a new one from dealership or auto wrecker. May meen you fan is running too slow also and not blowing enuf cool air past it.

2001 tahoe front heater not working, rear heater blows warm air

I have the same problem with my 2001 Tahoe. The front blower is working, its blowing strong, but its cold air even with the temp setting as high as it can get. The rear blows hot air. The engine temp guage is at about 210ish which is close to being normal (220). I just replaced the thermostate a few months ago, I don't know if its bad again, or it I deluted the antifreeze too much and it frooze the heater core, or if the heater core just went bad. Any one know what the cause could be?
