Look at your twingo key. You should see that it consists of the key blade and the key body. Now, take a look at the key body and note that it has what appears to be a solid center and then a key loop at the top. The key loop is important.

Next, take a flat-bladed screwdriver, the device you need to open a twingo key, and insert it in the key loop. Next, lever the blade so that the tip touches the bottom the key loop and rest of the screwdriver touches the top of the key loop. Pull up on the screwdriver and the twingo will slide apart. Remove the screwdriver and slide the twingo cover up and out.

There is a Twingo forum that should be able to help. I don't know that type of car but It does not seem logical to have a sensor under the gas pedal unless it sends a signal to the computer on how much gas to put into the injectors. In that case it would probably be behind the top of the gas pedal. Turning the ignition key on and off would not reset the computer but disconnecting the battery (+) wire for 10 minutes would. I would try that first. Check out the forum if that still does not work.

What colour fuse is the cigarette lighter in a renault twingo

The best solution is to take it to the garage as no one seems to know the colour or value of the cigar lighter fuse in my 2011 Renault twingo pizaz so replacement will be a case of pulling each one in turn until the right one comes to light

yes i know what these cars are like ,a right pain in the you know where and the only solution is to calkl a truck and have it taken to the dealer ,its a europeon vehicle and uses encrypted software ,Now on earlier models you still get a spark and the immobilisor only shuts of the fuel pump so if you try running a hot wire direct to the fuel pump it should start anyway ,check for polarity on the sender unit where the fuel pump is ,access can be gained from under teh back seat on this vehicle ,if you do have to have it re-programmed then once its running with teh key cut the thrid wire on the immobilisor reader in the drivers side footwell with teh engine running and then it thinks it still has the key in the ignition .I HATE RENAULTS

Twingo 1999 would mot start

you may have a break in the power lead to the coil or have you checked to ensure the wire has not grounded out to the body possibly from rubbing against the frame also look for fusible links as well as ensuring the wires were put in the correct sequence as prior removal ,are the Plug wires cracked if you bend them do you see cracks in them ..if so the issue may reside with them try spraying with a spray bottle the wires as someone else turns the car over do you see any arching then this would be your issue too start with
