1989 VW Golf wont's start. Coil loses power, no spark

You are describing a bad ignition switch. These fail in such a way that the voltage to the ignition fails while in the crank position.

Thanks jamie for your feed back. what u said to check has been done. could it be the fuel shut off valve? is so could it be by passed?

Don't know what Jamie answered-- but only Ford Products
have Fuel Safety Shut Off Switches

Keep in mind those switches only activate in a serious crash,
so you have to know the fuel system & have wiring diagrams,
to have a place to start testing

Engine is overheating and shutting off

Need to have it diagnosed at a dealer or repair shop

Don't know what else to tell you

If you don't say, you do all your own work,
& tell us what testing you have done so far,
then that's the answer

I had that same problem on an Aurora. I don't remember which one, but I do know that I called a gm dealer and had them fax me the diagram location. The internet's diagrams were all too general.

Add coolant light is on and I just don't where to add it. I don't have an owner's manual.

Don't know what porsche you're working on so a general answer would be to look in the engine compartment for a resivour bottle Usually white plastic so you can see the level through it.

Infinity gold radio seems to work but cant get any sound

It's really hard to answer a question such as this. There's barely enough information to reach any type of conclusion. What kind of Jeep? Cherokee? Grand Cherokee, Wrangler? Renegade? Liberty? I could just keep going. Maybe it's a Willys 1942? I really don't know. However, based on what little information you've provided I'll give a little answer. Fuse. How's that. No. Wait, if it's an infinity system it has a factory amp. If only I knew which year and model...Hmmm, Cherokee's and Grand Cherokees have them under the back seat. Does yours have a fuse in it? I don't know BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW WHAT YEAR AND MODEL IT IS.

I am trying to locate where the map sensor is on my 2006 Chevrolet express 1500 4.3 van. I need to install a new one have the part but need to know where it goes.

I don't mean to be critical, but if you do not know where the MAP Sensor is, then you could not possibly have tested the MAP Sensor circuits. If the MAP Sensor circuits have not been tested, then there is no way that anyone can be certain that your vehicle actually needs a MAP Sensor. (Many MAP Sensor codes cannot be fixed by replacing the MAP Sensor itself.) Then again, you might just get lucky.

To answer the question you asked, The MAP Sensor is located on the passenger side of the intake manifold near the rear of the engine. You must remove the doghouse to get to it.

I recommend that you also review this article: What Else Could Be Wrong?

I wish you luck!
