How do we install the 02 sensors in the 1999 kia sportage?

when you find the O2 sensor that you are replacing disconnect the electrical plug then using a 7/8" wrench placed around the sensor base turn the sensor counter clockwise looking at it from the top of the sensor. sometimes you have to heat the exhaust pipe around the sensor were it threads in this will help loosen the sensor. keep in mind that sometimes the threads are pulled out/stripped and you will have to run a cleaning tap to clean the threads and you install the sensor in the same place.

Trying to replace the knox sensor but i cant locate it in the engine

the knock sensor is located under the intake manifold in the cavity between the two engine banks. be sure to apply a layer of silicone or some sealant around the sensor after installing, this will keep water from gathering around it causing it to fail again.

Starts and stalls immediatly takes several starts and depressing gas peddle to keep running

This is a somewhat common problem, usually occurs also with ""steering lock fault". It appears to be a software/hardware issue. See VW dealer.
Can be worked around by: inserting key to first stop>wait for yellow steering wheel light to go out>insert key to second stop>wait for red steering wheel light to go out>start er up. This somehow works around the software issue.

My car alarm keeps going off by itself. This

I have exactly the same problem! There is some water in the rubber gasket around the hatch and also on the latch, so I suppose there's water leaking in and disturbing the sensors.

Radiator warning light

Check your over flow canister.Sometimes if it is a little low it will make the light flash or come on.When the motor cools off Try topping it off with some coolant. If level is at or above operating level the the sensor itself might be sticking or you may have some air pockets in the system. You can also tap on the sensor which should be the only one on the radiator tank,(a two wire sensor) that may be sticking..If it still keeps coming on you may need to change that sensor..

I’m happy to assist further over the phone at
