You usually get a winter fuel Payment automatically if you get the State Pension or another social security benefit not (Housing Benefit, Council tax Reduction, Child Benefit or Universal Credit). If you qualify but do not get paid automatically, you will need to make a claim.

I was born in September 1954 will I get heating allowance this year

1. Overview. If you were born on or before 5 August 1953 you could get between £100 and £300 to help you pay your heating bills. This is known as a 'Winter Fuel Payment'.
After that date you get winter fuel allowance when you reach state pension age.

Rough ideling and major missing, tried new plugs, wires and fuel filter, seems to smoothen out at high rpm

Did you pour in some type of fuel stabilizer before you parked it? If not, drain the fuel tank and refill it with fresh gas; replace the fuel filter again.
Unleaded fuel will separate after a short time and can cause a number of problems afterwards until everything is cleaned out.

How much would it cost to replace the wire harness on the fuel pump on a 2002 buick regal

that would be up to a mechanic. They all charge different prices, but I know electrical work takes time so its usually expensive. The dealer is your best bet and worst nightmare for this kind of work. They usually do a good job but want payment as your first born and a few hundred to over $1000 scary believe me I know Ive been there. Give it a good long look under the car with a flash light and see if you can do it yourself and save that money for something else. Hope this helps a little good luck and God Bless :O)

Sluggish diesel engine

diesel fuel run in the winter is a lighter grade fuel to help is from freezing, and hard starting in the winter. You mnay have to replace the aircleaner. And may have to replace the fuel filter located on to of the engine, just under the air cleaner housing. The diesel fuel now sold in the summer is a little thicker and having a hard time getting thru the old fuel filter.

I have a 2004 ford escape. i just started it and it semmed to be sputtering and a little shaky then the emissions light came on. what is the problem?

many times if the car was parked the last time overheated and also low on fuel the fuel can boil in the fuel rail and the lines the resultigair pockets before the fuel pump picks up mkes the car miss( no fuel or not enough to a few cyclinders or even the injectors leaked a little after it was shut off. both ways it'll miss when started back. It's possible you live in an area that shifts gas from winter to summer and back the winter gas in hot tempertures will do this. The check engine light can be reset with a scanner. Codes po420 or other mixture codes may appear. ( happens alot this time of year as the fuel switch over to winter gas is happening. as soon as your car ( tunes to the new forulation ) It might not do it again. The winter gas works well in cooler days but it does what you pointed out on hot days.

How often do i need to replace my fuel filter?

SIMPLE MAINT SCHEDULE , IS CHANGING IT ONCE A YEAR, but it depends where you live, If this truck is a diesel & you live in a northern climate, change your filter once a year but not until you know for ceretain that you are buying winter grade fuel, ie: nov
Reason for this is that there will be wax/parafin build up in the filter that your ran on the summer fuel, it can congeal in the filter in winter becasue of this build up. If you replace the filter in late autumn, then tat filter will not have a congeal problem because the there hasnt been anything but winter grade fuel through it, , and its safe to run all next summer , but the summers residue will cause problems next winter , so change again in late autumn .

Location of fuel filter on 1993 geo traqcker

If your vehicle is fuel injected, new fuel filter gaskets (which should be included along with a new filter) are necessary for this procedure.
The fuel filter is designed to prevent gasoline-borne contaminants from entering the engine through the carburetor or fuel injector(s). It is important to replace the fuel filter with a new one every 30,000 miles (50,000 km) or 30 months (whichever occurs first). The fuel filter is located in front of the fuel tank on the right-hand underside of the vehicle's chassis on carbureted models.
