My 1994 fzr1000 recently lost power, the rev counter went and all the turn signals went so i pulled over and switched it off, when i went to start it up again the fuel pump primed for a lot longer than normal? It started up after a few trys but a couple of miles up the road same again, when i got home one of the 20amp fuses had gone, changed that and bam its sorted! 10 minutes riding and same again, revs gone turn signals and engine cuts out? Any ideas?

SOURCE: shuts off while driving. no fuel pressure. pcm fuse blows/ fuel pump relay inserted.

Sounds like the fuel pump is shorted.

sounds like the idle speed sensor,if your rpm's are idling up and down

Your problem sounds as if the thermo sensor....which controls the air fuel ratio when engine is faulty. It is a common fault on this model.
This is not an expensive part, and takes only a short time to fit.

Half my fuse box went out

On the buss connector for the turn signal switch with the signal flashing check voltage on the Green-W/trace. Should be intermittent 13.8 V.

1) The Orange at the signal selector buss should have +13.8v all time key is on.

2) Check red w/trace at brake lamp switch, With brake pressed both sides should have +13.8v

(if there is no voltage at above ORANGE we need to check the fuseclips for corrosion, then pull the fuseblock out and check for corrosion on the wires. The buss that feeds those fuses could have some corrosion going on.)

If the turn signal switch fails it will take out the brake lights also, IMHO this will be found to be the culprit in most failures. Gotten allot of water around under the dash?

Don't think there's anything wrong with it. That's pretty normal for mine. If it's unusual behaviour for your car, check your coolant level. I almost ran mine dry last year and found in the days leading up to it that my idle revs were sitting around 2000 once the car heated up. If it turns out to be that I can give you some real handy tips for changing your coolant and flushing all the junk out. Much cheaper than a mechanic and good if you have a spare hour.
