it doesn't have a fuel pump relay it has a fuel pump control unit and it is located on the chassis back quarter drivers side near the tube cross member for chassis on top of chassis rail near bed mount. locate the rear springs front perch and it will be above that on top of rail.

I had the same problem with my 99 suburban. There was a memo sent out by GM to all of the service shops that tell them when you replace the fuel pump or just desconnect it you need to replace the pigtail wiring harness that connects to the pump or it will burn up the new pump. I went through 3 pumps before I found this out after I replace the pigtail it fixed the problem.

There is no fuel pump reset switch ! You need to test the electrical circuit , there is a fuel pump RELAY that turns on the fuel pump an this is where you test for battery voltage an control of the relay ! Maybe the oil pressure sensor or switch that keeps the pump running after engine started.

If you jumped 87 and 30, it should have turned the pump on. If those are the right terminals at the fuel pump relay, and I think they are. Those are usually the right ones.
Try this: one of those terminals should be hot at all times, the feed for the fuel pump. Check for a hot terminal there. If the feed for the pump is lost, it will probably be a blown maxi fuse or fusible link supplying that relay's power feed.
If it still starts and dies, check the fuel pressure. If pressure is at specification, both key on, engine off and with engine running, it could be an ignition problem (crank sensor?), not a fuel problem. But you may be right to pursue the oil pressure switch or the pcm, if the pump was still running as you say at the fuel filter .

At terminals 85 and 86 of the pump relay, you could check for the computer signal on one of those with the engine cranking. With engine cranking, the computer sends a signal to the coil side of the relay, either the 85 or 86 terminal, and the other terminal will go to ground. Do you have a test light or voltmeter?

See if the oil pressure switch has 3 prongs. If so and it's leaking oil, that may be the problem. I can't recall what year they stopped doing that switch but my '89 had it. Aside from that, check the fuel pump relay. It can click and still not supply power to the pump.

99 jimmie fuel pump let go replaced and now wont give gas to start . fuse ok for pump relay seems ok run on eather . new pump is good bench checked

There are only a couple of relays that it could be. One for the fuel pump and one for the computer. It they aren't expensive, I would replace both. If they are expensive, I would put a voltmeter on the fuel pump positive side to see if the power is cutting out. If that is ok, then I would do the same to the computer. You have serious short in wires to the ground so back track these wires with a multimeter if you know how to use one then check this first plus check the voltages.

What you can do is disconnect the fuel filter and have an assistant watch under the vehicle while you turn the ignition switch (but with out actually turning the engine on. If the Fuel pump is an electrical fuel pump it will spit out fuel for about 3 to 5 seconds.
If nothing happens then a more extensive method to checking the fuel pump

Ok if you could find the fuel pump relay.
It will have either 4 pins or 5pins
This is a trick to activate the fuel pump with out the engine actually running and for longer that 3-5 seconds.
the 4 pins are numbers 85 86 30 and 87 (87a)
If you can remove the relay and memorize where the pins go. Then acquire a bobby pin or paper clip and cross the terminals 30 and 87 (87a) and if the fuel pump activates then it functions but remember to have the key in the ignition with it to the run postion but the engine off. If this works then the relay could be bad, Test Terminals 30 and 85 for resistance.
