My son bought a fuel pump for his 96 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The difference between the new fuel pump and the old one is the old one has an additional nipple on the top. I do not know if the new pump wil

Your question was cut off, but I believe there\'s enough info to know what you\'re asking.

First, what engine does he have? The 4.0 L straight six or the 5.2 L V-8?

If the old pump has 2 fuel connections, one is for supply (pressure) and the other one is for return to tank. The new pump will have to have both of these nipples for the system to work properly.

Just to clarify,, is his old pump a 2-nipple one and the new one with only 1 nipple? Or is the old one a 3 nipple and the new one a 2-nipple?

Sooner or later, most cars will need to have one or more catalytic converters replaced. The old converter off your car or truck can be recycled for cash. Some of the older converters are worth enough to pay for having a new one installed. But most people are not aware of how valuable they are, so they let the muffler shop or repair shop keep the old converter. The muffler shop will recycle the old converters for money that should have gone in your pocket. Personally, I think there should be a law that requires the muffler shops to give the old converters to the customer, or have the customer sign a waiver saying they do not wish to keep the old converter. The waiver should state that the converter can be recycled for cash. And if they waive their right to keep the old converter, the muffler shop should be required to reduce the cost of the new replacement converter by a percentage of the value of the old converter.

How do i replace a starter bendix?

(starter drive)
replace it.
or fix it.
to fix it we;'d NEED, photos of the part to see DAMAGE
as you know DAMAGE has no limits or does wear. (entropy)
just cleaning it 100% and re-lubing it , can make it work.

i love the sound of the old bendix and would kill to have any 19830's car
i restore old cars, and would love to do one. this old.

the old bendix has no electromagnet , solenoid driver, readers
it use the centrifugal forces to sent the gear pinion out ward.
it tends to wear out the gear, and fell out of Vogue for that.

sadly wiki has no photo, (my old 48 chevy and a foot drive, totally)

1915 patent.
old cebby

note , no broken parts, id bet yours has broken bits.

that gear will get ratty with age. finding a spare, is not easy for some cars.

How to remove code from key. Have new key and code and want to re program old key

Only the car dealer can reprogram the old key. It would probably cost about the same to have another new key made, rather than reprogram the old key.

How can I fix my catalylic conveter without paying almost thousand and the Dealership

Forget the dealership. Go to a good muffler shop. Ask them to install a "Universal" catalytic converter. Tell them you want to keep the old converter. Do not let the muffler shop keep the old converter. Don't say anything about keeping the old converter until after you get a confirmed price for installing the new one. Take the old converter and recycle it. You will probably get enough money from recycling the old one to pay for the new one. You may be able to buy the new converter at a parts store, then have a muffler shop install it. That's what I did on my old 89 Buick. Paid $50 for the converter, $50 for the install, then recycled the old one the same day for $97.

Had motor replaced in 1995 Olds 98. Gas mileage went from (old) 32 MPG to 25 MPG. 2000 miles on new engine. What gives?

If you are using an EFI engine and the old computer module is still used, have it reset first. It may still have the data from the old engine. If you are using an old engine, you may have to do additional inspection and see if there are worn out parts. For crate engines (brand new) it would need a break in period, normally less than 800-1000 miles.
