check fuse 41 in the central fuse block. I bet you 12 volt outlets (cigar lighter) is not working also?

SOURCE: why would a data link connector stop working

Has it ever worked? Possibility no positive supply or ground at data link connector. Need to locate a wiring diagram for your connector. Try google.if you don't have a diagram.

Check out faxonautoliterature. They list a Ford wiring diagram manual for your car for $19. I've used them before and had excellent service. Hope this helps.

How do you check the DCL and charging system?

you need to find out if you are getting fuel.And if you are getting spark first.Then come back to me.

I have a 1981 lincoln mark VI 5.0 engine i just


The positive battery cable goes from the battery to one side of solenoid.(big nut). The cable that goes to the starter connects to the other side of solenoid.(big nut). Sticking out the front of the solenoid there is 1 or 2 smaller terminals. There should be a single wire (approx. 14ga or 16ga) that breaks out of the harness near the solenoid that has a black "L" shaped "push" on connector on it. Push that connector onto the small terminal on the solenoid marked "S". Hope this helps. Good luck.

1994 Lincoln Continental Executive Series oil level indicator


A common problem in the continental (my 95 had the same problem). You can TRY to reset the error. The link below lists step by step instructions for the error reset. Best of luck.
