Question about Cars & Trucks
Hearing squeeling noises from front passenger side of 05 chevy equinox, gets louder when slowing down but can hear it all the time. Can still hear it when driving 55 or more but it is very faint. Brake also seems to kick back when I push down on the brake petal. any ideas on what all could be going on?
Brake pads need replacing - add copper grease to back of brake pad - this prevents the sqeal

SOURCE: Front end noise
Sounds like rust build up on the rotors, this is a common problem with after market rotors,or it is a squealer tab and they squeal to warn you before damage is done to the rotors when brake pads are 2/3 worn down.have a brake inspection done.

I had the same problem with mine at about 20000 miles, took it to dealer and they told me it was a common problem for the mounting bushing for the caliper to go bad.Dealer replaced them and less than 5000 miles later had same problem, they ordered new brackets with new bushings to mount calipers and have had no problems since at 41000 and still have original pads and rotors have not been turned. Don't know if they will do anything after warrantee but mounting bushings are easy to replace and not expensive.

Sounds like wheel bearing or CV joint is shot at the best your brake pads are down to the metal
The car should be off the road as both sets of bearings can seize with dire consequenses and if it is your brakes !! need I say more
