Mini cooper 2005 loses 1 computer cylinder signal when hot

probably want to do a compression test, you may have a valve that's screwing up. Also take a look at your coil, # 3 tends to rust and get really weak.

Where is the thermostat on 2002 mini locted. blocked need changing.

the thermostat is located in the cylinder head and is retained by a plastic housing (aluminum on COOPER S). the thermostat begins to open at 89-92°C and is fully open at 103°C.
the MINI COOPER thermostat housing also incorporates the cooling system pressure cap (MINI COOPER S system pressure cap is installed on the expansion tank).
need remove intake filter housing an map connectors

2004 mini cooper 47.000miles.error code p0301 and p0326 any help would be ace.the car seems to run fine but the engine management light is on.

p0301 is Cylinder 1 Misfire. Check fuel injector,Spark plug, plug wire, ignition coil.

p0326 is the Knock sensor (Combined with above code I'd check the fuel injector on #1 cylinder)

How to collapse rear calipers on mini cooper

Did you notice the brake fluid level in the master cylinder before you tried to collapse the calipers? You should see a rise in level as you collapse them (however far they did collapse). If you're not seeing any change in the level (it should fill up) you might have a plugged valve between the caliper and the master cylinder. Loosen the brake fluid line to the caliper and try collapsing it again. If still no go, start dismantling the caliper and look for bent, broken, stuck or mal-adjusted pieces.

2003 mini cooper

That is probably the case.
Pull all spark plugs and compare.  This should give you and indication of which cylinder is not functioning.  The one that is different.
The look at that cylinders fuel injector.  I would just replace it.
Along the way make sure nothing is loose or obviously disconnected.

Regards,

Doug
