Get one of the Haynes or Chilton manuals as it will detail the exact procedure.

SOURCE: does anyone know if you need a special tool to get

No special tool is needed. You just need to remove the bolts holding on the calipper located on the back towards the engine on the A-Arm. Make sure not to loose the rubber gaskets and also make sure that you do not remove the brake line. Once the caliper is out of the way the rotor will baically fall off in your hands

The blower motor is not connected in any way to the heater core. A very basic set of tools should suffice.

929 Mazda (1992) No Heat But A/C Works I have a 929 Mazda 1992 year. Does not blow any heat. I noted that the 30 amp fusible link for the heater was busted. Replaced it but still no heat. A busted fuse...

First check your fluid in your radiator if its low your heater will not work. Check all your heater hoses and make sure they are not kinked.
Your heater core may be plugged That will stop the heat flowing as well. If it's the heater core it will have to come out and replaced most likely. Not sure if there is a heater valve on that car.

No heat coming from heater checked fluids therm is ok too?

call a dealer service department and ask them if it is typical for a mazda heater core to need replacement at 10 years. if so, have them check it and find out the cost. this can be done at a
shop which specializes in auto air conditioners and radiators much cheaper than at a dealer. as the dashboard has to come out, it is not really an owner service item.

How do I change the oil filter on a MAZDA 6 4 CYL..

You don't need a special tool. Use a 6mm allen to remove the filter drain plug. It will probably start to spin the filter housing. You can remove the housing by hand or with a regular oil filter wrench.

Expansion valve for a mazda 626 where does it go

it attaches to the A/C evaporater core inside the a/c module that is in/behind the dashboard. To access it you would need to remove the dash assembly and then remove the a/c/heater core assembly. Not an easy task for the do it yourself person as special tools and equipment are nneeded to recover and recharge the a/c system itself

Heating / Cooling System Malfunction

all mazda 929 have this problem when the coolant level is dropped
the heater core has no fluid in it since it ts off of the engine block . hence it cannot recive any coolant to heat the car. the best way to fix this is bleed the system of air . when filling coolant squezze the return hose with the cap on the rad it will force fluid bact to the core and push the air out
once you do this a few times you will see the rad fluid droped fill it up and run the car . this should solve this problem
