That's odd. I would take the wiper arm off and cycle the wiper motor, then turn it to off. That should place the arm so the wiper blade is at the bottom of the window. Set it there and see if it works right. If it doesn't help, better have someone look at it. Maybe an adjustment can be made.

If you cannot get the pin out, and get it to stay in place - or if there is a bolt that is supposed to help hold it together, if you have the bolt, try to put it back together - if not, take it to a parts store and see if there is a replacement pin and bolt for it -

Remove the wiper arm. Lift the hatch up. Remove all related trim around the hatch. Unbolt the wiper motor, and install in reverse order.

I just bought a 1997 Chrysler Town & Country (had a 95 years ago and miss it) My dilemma, the wipers don't work. When I push the washer in they will come on for one swipe and that is it. ...

if you are getting the one swipe then the switch is getting power to the motor. also the body control module is turning the wiper relay on to get the one swipe. there is a wiper module made onto the motor that keeps the motor on as is sees the request from the switch. the module has a circuit board in it that can get bad contacts and not allow power to motor to move the wiper arms. i suggest installing the wiper motor.

Sounds like the wiper motor is on it's last leg(s) -- needs help starting -- not enough torque supplied by the motor to move from dead stop. Will probably need replacing.

There should be a circuit breaker which shuts down the wipers when they are frozen. Sounds like the breaker didn't do its job and the wiper motor fried. My guess is it needs replacing.

2005 ford expedition rear wiper

Sounds like a problem within the wiper motor not turning off at rest or not reaching it's rest point to be able to turn itself off, probably needs a new motor. Disconnecting it should have no relation to the front washer operation, you can confirm this by reconnecting the wiper motor to try.

Rear wiper does not work at all. front wipers work fine. rear washer works

1. check the fuse to the rear wiper motor
2. check for power to rear wiper motor at the motor (power wire going in to the wiper motor with rear wiper switch on)
If you have good fuses & have power going in to the rear wiper motor...
3. Pull old rear wiper motor and install a new rear wiper motor.
Thank you please drive thru......
