Anything connected to the air bag components need to be seen by a licenced repairer as these are explosive devises, and you don't want one going off in your face when not expecting it

My air bag light just started coming on recently what 's causing it to do that

It could be a failure of any one of the sensors, or of the entire control unit. The light itself will flash in a "code", with the number of times it flashes and then pauses. While I don't know what that "code" is, your mechanic will be able to tell you. There may be more information online if you start with the year/make/model and then try to figure out what the timing of the flashes and pause is. Sometimes the sensors can be very inexpensive, or the control unit can be bought from a salvage yard. WARNING! Working on an airbag system can be dangerous. ALWAYS remove the battery as it can trigger a bag to inflate.

My hyundai elantra has the air bag light on i scanned it and the tell me the oxigen sensor was bad should it be that the air bag light is on

air bad light has nothig to do with a oxigen sensor the reason you got a oxigen sensor codes is cause the air bag system uses a different kind of code tester most auto parts stores dont have them.

I have a 1998 Jeep Wrangler 5 speed manual. The airbag light started remaining lit. What can I do to fix.

You need to pull codes from the computer to see what it is, since air bags can kill you I will give you the web site of the builders of air bag systems so they can help you. This will let you determine if yo want to do this on your own. It is http://www.airbagsolutions.com/contact.aspx
they will charge you $20.00 to pull the codes then you will know what is going on, you can post back here with the codes for help with the problems. It can be dangerous working on the air bag and not having any experince and since you don't want to buy a scanner at $500.00 they can tell you how to pull codes safely. Thanks for using fix-ya

My air bag light on my 2000 Ford Econoline van flashes a 19 code. Does anyone know what that means?

Seems to be a very common problem with Ford. The wiring harness beneath the drivers seat contains the sensors for the airbag system. Go under the drivers seat and secure all the wires and clips. This makes most error lights for the airbags go away. Hope this helps and good luck!

Instrument Panel Codes??

Yes, it's called a lamp fault code.

9 is not familiar to me. Call dealer service department and ask them what code means.

Here are codes for a 94 Aerostar. I don't have 91 Sable. Sorry.

Air bag light

You can't reset it. It's flashing a code. If you tell me the code, I can tell you the proceedure to isolate the fault.

when you start up, there is an 8 second system test and the light is on during this period. Then it flashes out a 2-digit code. The first group of flashes is the first digit and then there is a pause before the second group of flashes which represent the second digit.

flash-flash-flash-pause-flash-flash-flash-flash-flash-flash = code 36

What code is your system flashing?
