I replaced the blower switch on the heater to my car and it still don't work. What else could it be.

It's making a clicking type noise when I try to turn it on, sort of like a relay is going bad. I don't think it has a relay though. Just saying.

Could be the blower itself have u tried before u installed the switch to use a jumper wire to verify a bad switch?

Testimonial: "It's been like that ever since I bout the car over 2 years ago.I thought the switch was bad because at first if you wiggle the button it would eventually come on. Finally it just got so bad and quit. I did buy a used switch. Can you tell me how to check the switch with a jumper wire? I'm a woman and they say we don't know anything about cars., but I sure got that out and putt it back correctly...lol. Your help is appreciated."

Clicking noise heard on start up and acceleration.

Hi Abner Clicking noise, if it goes with speed of engine and wasn't there before the valve train was adjusted. Take it back to be rechecked. If the valve train was adjusted to try and get rid of the clicking sound and it hasn't worked. The only thing you can do is get someone with technical knowledge to have a look at it. Unfortunately noises are somewhat impossible to diagnose unless you are standing at the vehicle. ( check engine oil level).
Blower motor one of four things (1) Poor electrical connection ( loose or slightly burnt connection to motor remove connector and check). repair or replace as necessary. (2) Something stopping the fan from turning (if pollen filter fitted above motor remove and with a mirror and torch check down inside on top of fan. (3) if a heater rheostat/resister is fitted in the location of the heater box this maybe faulty however when these fault it normally allows the fan to only work when you switch fan to maximum speed. (4) the fan itself is faulty . replace fan/motor. Good luck

Pontiac g6 2006 heater/ac fan doesnt work on #3 speed setting, fan made squealing bearing noise for a while but quit, also inside/outsied air vent switch vent makes clicking noise when set to outside air

you will need to replace the blower motor as it has probably siezed going by the squealing noise you say you heard.i`m assuming this has more than 3 speeds for the fan motor.if it wasn`t working on one speed then you probably have a bad blower motor resistor that will need to be replaced as well so you will have all fan speeds.this is located in the air duct housing near the blower motor and will have about 6 wires on it.some of these on under the hood on the firewall anywhere from the passenger side to the center of the firewall.not sure about the vent switch.if the vent switch is moving the doors and you hear a clicking then you may have a vent door problem that the door pivot is worn.

2003 ford taurus heater fan worked fine last night but won't come on at all today.

I do not understand why people will continue to operate a vehicle when they know there is an obvious problem. They ignore check engine lights until the engine stops running altogether and then are "surprised" when they get stranded in the middle of the expressway in rush hour traffic. Then they blame it on the car!!!

In your case, you have ignored the warning signs of your blower motor failing ("making noise for a couple months"?) and now you are dumfounded as to why your blower motor now does not work at all.....I don't get it....!???

REPLACE YOUR BLOWER MOTOR!

Heater does not work makes clicking noises when turned on

With test light, verify you have power & ground to the motor, when ignition is on & switch is on high.If so, blower motor will need to be replaced. If not check fuse or blower motor resistor.

Blower for heater stopped

Remove the hush panel under the dash and unplug your blower motor turn the knob and see if its getting power. If it is replace the blower motor. If your heater seems to work on high but not the other 4 settings. replace the blower motor resistor and pigtail (same general location as blower motor)
