Question about Cars & Trucks
I was having trouble with the ignition and @ that point the remote started stopped working. It still locks and unlocks the doors. Replaced the ignition sensor so truck now starts properly but the remote starter still doesn't. I tried to reset it to make sure it wasn't on the valet parking mode but that didn't resolve the problem. BRR it's getting cold out there and I miss my remote starter please help!!
What type of car... what type of remote starter...who replaced the ignition sensor?

depending on your alarm which it sounds like a viper model maybe? on my 02 you have to incorporate a factory alarm bypass module in order to be able to start the truck, they run about 100.00 bucks and have to be profssionally installed. The truck wont start because the computer isnt recieving the proper starting sequence due to the factory alarm

this function is preformed through the Body control module, this can be tested for faults by the dealer only.

i suggest removing the flywheel inspection cover, and rolling the engine over a little bit at a time, checking to make sure that there are no worn or broken teeth. also, make sure there is no lateral movement, which could indicate a broken flexplate. good luck.
