The eighth digit is the engine code or number. Call your Ford dealer with the vin and they can tell you the engine.

Code p1633

This code means the pcm has detected a low voltage situation on the memory circuit this is a common problem in fords start by disconnecting the battery then with electrical contact cleaner pull the fuses one at a time from the fuse box under the hood clean the contacts coat with dielectric grease and replace them usually it is caused by corrosion of the contacts in this box however I have run across this where the actual wire for the memory itself has corroded to the point where it needs to be replaced from the fuse all the way to the pcm itself

Sometimes wont start in park pistion, will always start in netural.

There can be a little wear in the shift linkage and you may be able to adjust the linkage so that it works better. This is providing the "no start" situation means that the engine does not crank in Park sometimes.

If the problem you are reporting in Park is that it cranks alright but does not run, then that would be a different problem.

Dealership claims engine in 2009 car is not engine in car they sold me. 2009 sonata bought used 6 months ago. How do I prove it is same engine in car I purchased.

When they sold you the car did the paperwork list the engine number ?
I would ask them to prove or explain why they think the engine is not the same, were there any photographs of the engine taken by them if so are they different ? Whos to say the engine was not changed before they sold you the car. Sorry not really a answer just what I might do next if I were in your situation.
good luck
