There's a pulley called idler it moves up and down with the belt. Sometimes there's a square hole or you can use the bolt on the pulley. Front wheel drive pull the tool you use towards the back of car. Rear wheel drive pull tool towards passenger side won't move a whole lot. Side belt from under pulley release pulley and remove the belt just repeat the steps it took to remove belt put reverse order
