On 1982-83 mercedes 380sel 4 door Injectors are receiving fuel but it is not starting what relays or other problems couldit be i put new plugs wires rotor and distributor cap

Fuel pressure must be correct still--test it----spark may be weak from ignition coil or module-----could have a compression leak also---some of the sensors/actuators may be bad--listen for vacuum leakage

Are you getting a spark ? new parts don't guarentee a spark if there is another problem , check for spark and take from there

the blinking CEL light is an indication of a miss-fire, run the code retrival test to find out what cylinder is the one missing, at your miles it could be almost anything from a low compression issue to a bad distributor cap, a fuel injector could be the problem, run the test and get back to me, Kragen and other chain parts stores will test the system for codes for FREE!

Well, I would replace the air filter, make sure the air hose from the air filter to the intake is not kinked or blocked and check for vacuum leaks. If these are all fine, I would check the fuel pressure as it is possible the pump is weak and not supplying enough fuel.

First thing you need to know is which cylinders are missing. Then, don't forget there is an engine beneath the electronics. Do a quick test with a vacuum gauge and do a compression test. Check the distributor shaft for side play. If everything checks out good, then do electronic component testing. have a code check run (many parts stores do this free) and get a chiltons or haynes manual and follow test procedures in there.
I refrain from giving repair suggestions with problems like yours because people keep changing instead of testing parts. When I work on my vehicles or other peoples cars, I do testing to avoid buying expensive parts that most times won't correct the problem. At this point the most I'd suggest is to clean the mass air flow sensor wires with a Q-tip and carb cleaner...that often helps and is free. If you run into a problem with whatever you find, ask and I'll try to help.

could be low fluid levels to emissions 02 sensor or when the vehicle is on a slant the fluid levels such as oil etc brake fluid are reading below normal and simply need attention such as correct fluid specification levels or as i stated a tune up

Check fuse 1. If fuse is good, problem may be the PGM-FI main relay. This is a double relay. See diagram below. During start, one relay closes. After start, the other one takes over.

What make , model an year vehicle ? Could be a relay problem , power hold relay for ford , ignition 1 relay for GM vehicles or ASD - auto shut down relay for jeep , dodge , Chrysler vehicles . Asian vehicles have them too , Honda - main relay powers fuel injectors , coils etc.... Do you know how to do basic automotive electrical testing ? Check for voltage ? You would need to look at a wiring diagram for your vehicle , see which wire powers the coil an injectors etc...test for B+ voltage ! Videos on you tube showing how to test ignition , fuel etc..

Why isn't fuel pump receiving power?


Did you R/R the pump & relay for this no start condition? First ck ALL the fuses if OK you probably have an electrical short. Ck ground circuits too.

I have a 1987 ford ranger the engine turns over but it wont start


Spark at plugs? Fuel filter? Pressure on injector delivery line? Pressure relief valve? You may be able to measure fuel pressure at the pressure relief valve location. and return line. If you have spark, I'd say it's a fuel supply problem

Cant find fuel pump relay on 1991 geo trcker


the 91 is below the ECU, the socket is green , the relay has a huge
pink wire, which is pump power.
did you find the bad ground in 2door car? is it? behind the left rear tail
light, the pump grounds with a screw there, all trackers (sidekicks) fail there. , and kill the pump, it the first check on all . with low or zero pressure.
post symptoms and can take you to it fast.
just a no start ?
this year, kick has pump power for only 3 seconds keyon
that be rule 1.
and pump power 12vdc cranking and running.
the wire is pink at the left tail light too.

I have a 96 geo tracker. the fuel pump isnt getting any electricity to it. it wont work. where is the relay located in the tracker itself?


I have uploaded a picture to this link. I believe the picture shows the layout under the dash, #8 is the fuel pump relay.

NEED ADJUST SET IGNITION TIMING.MOST TIME YOU INSTALL ANOTHER NEW ENGINE.THE IGNITION TIMING AT DISTRIBUTOR OFF TIME LITTLE TOO FAR ADVANCE CAUSING WEAK SPARKS FOULING OUT SPARK PLUGS. CHECK FUEL PRESSURE SOON AS ENGINE STOP AGAIN DONT TURN ON IGNITION SWITCH CHECK FUEL PRESSURE.SHOULD BE 43 PSI. IF NOT 0 FUEL PUMP BAD OR FUEL PUMP RELAY FAULTY OR FUEL FILTER STOPPED UP.IF FUEL SYSTEM GOOD PROBLEM IN THE IGNITION TIMING.

Check Injectors spraying Fuel when you start. Fuel pump prime because you hear the pump. IF pump is weak, then your Fuel distributor doesn't have correct pressure to spray fuel when injectors open. Do your sparks plug wet after trying several times. If they are dry then you don't have fuel. Replace injectors If they are wet then you don't have correct air:gas ratio of 14.6:1. Replace Fuel distributors
