Better take it in sounds like the valve body Also those are computer controlled not anything you can do your self . It took me some looking but I found a shop that I trust he has worked wonders for me you have to be careful you can really get ripped at the wrong trans shop....

First of all make sure you are checking the fluid right. Some people do not know that in order to check transmission fluid the engine needs to be running and the temperature needs to be sort of warm althought you should be able to get a good Idea just by the engine running. In this instance you might have a governer valve that isn't properly working to shift the engine when hydraulic pressure reaches a certain PSI. I would suggest having it flushed and put in new fluid and filter. If this doesn't work the problem is more serious and might need some professional assistance.

SOURCE: Mercedes after shifting to reverse to drive the 1st gear slips

mercedes did nothing wrong your transmission is probably blown up. no way they could put in the wrong parts they wouldn't fit. how many miles are on your trans now? did you ever do a transmission service on the transmission that mercedes says is lifetime fluid? dont do back to the dealer find an independant shop that specializes in mercedes, like the one i work for. the dealer doesnt care about its clients. Us independants honestly do care

SOURCE: Transmission slipping making noise

If u keep it below 25 miles an hour you should make it, but this loud noise worries me, this noise means something is coming apart, if it does it may lock the trans up, so keep the speed down.

2002 chrysler concorde 3.5 transmission slips when cold

Plz have fluid and filter changed in transmission. Sounds like filter is clogged and starving transmission of fluid until it warms up and thins out the fluid..Hope this helps.

Hestitating in drive, then it seems that i am in nutural, but noti am still in drive, and then i put in to nutural and back into drive and it keeps doing that...whaT CAN THE PROBLEM BE

EEK. You may want to get this car into a shop soon. Unfortunately, it isn't a cheap fix, but it sure does sound like your transmission is about to stop working on you. If you are handy with cars, they do make a rebuild kit that is actually really easy to use. It's a whole lot cheaper, but of course, you have to do the work yourself. Often enough, you can find a transmission in a junk yard for next to nothing. Have a shop do a diagnostics on it, and if that is in deed your problem, start looking around for cheap ones, and then see if you can't offer a neighborhood home mechanic a little money to make the repair. I hope this helps :)
