Have you checked all the obvious things? If it's not turning over then maybe the battery is dead or the cable connections at the battery are badly corroded. Make sure you have a strong battery and good cable connections then go from there. Make sure it is in park or neutral.

SOURCE: 2004 pt crusier stopped running whiledrivin it on

Take out the spark plugs and see if it turns over and water is shot out. If so, the head gasket has gone and filled one or more cylinders with water. Another option is , was it overheating and seized up? Has it run low on oil and seized up?

How to change a water pump for a 2006 pt crusier

you must remove the timing belt cam gears and rear timing cover recomend replacing timing belt tensioners and all idler pulleys at same time, (this job takes me 4 hours and i remove the radiator condensorassembly to make it easier) you could damage you engine if you dont install your belt correctly.

I purchased a 2001 Pt Crusier of which the timing belt broke and they told me the engine was damaged due to it breaking during operation. I was also told it had no compression on two cylinders due to this...

timing this motor is a real bear, just did it to my 01 pt,but when done right it will hold 150-160 lbs in each cyc. I had to get a free print out from autozone, just make sure that the cam gears are a half or gear off, the print out will show all details needed.

How do you change a water pump on a 2004 pt crusier?

I'm not sure how mechanically inclined you but to do the water pump on that vehicle is labor intensive and if it is a turbo it is even more so the water pump is located behind the timing cover

Timming belt broke is it easy to replace my self and does it effect any thing when it broke

THIS CAR USES WHAT IS CALLED AN INTERFERENCE ENGINE, THIS MEANS IF THE BElT BROKE WHILE DRIVING YOU HAVE BENT THE INTAKE AND EXHAUST VALVES, VERY REARELY THIS DOESN'T HAPPEN SO PUT A NEW BLET ON AND CHECK THE COMPRESSION, IF U HAVE NO COMPRESSION OR LOW YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE THE CYLINDER HEAD REMOVED AND THE VALVES REPLACED, U MAY ALSO HAVE BROKEN A PISTON CROWN AS WELL, THE NORMAL CHANGE INTERVAL FIOR THE TIMING BLET IS 120,000 MILES, SO IF IT BROKE BEFORE THAT CONTACT CHRYSLER THEY MAY PROVIDE SOME ASSISTANCE WITH THE REPAIR COST.

Try the ignition switch,

For the Crank sensor there is a small metal disc that mounts behind the sensor if that is cracked or dammaged or installed backwards you will get same results as if it wasn't Make sure the timing marks line up on your timing belt. www.kiatechinfo.com
