Hello robbind.
Not sure where you live in the world.
I am in Canada and your specific model is not listed in my manual.
I looked up the diagram under a CLK 350, I hope it is similar.

The system uses multiplex wiring, a signal is sent from one module to another eliminating the need for a bunch of wires to operate everything in the rear.

To find the wire color you need you may need to go directly to the bulb in the tailight assembly and find the proper wire.

On the CLK350 model the wires are Gray/Yellow to the right side and gray/blue to the left.
There is a module in the trunk that these wires lead to. It is a positive signal.

I hope this helps you with your installation. Thank you for using FixYa.

I am sorry but we don't have wiring diagrams here at fixya because the diagrams are copy protected. You can download the diagrams for a small fee here.

Hi guys, I have a ford transit connect LWB 2006, I've bought reverse parking sensors, but I can't seem to find out what colour the wires are for + & - for the reverse parking light?

Does this hook up to the transmission range sensor switch on the tranny? If so use a 12 volt test light ($5 at any auto parts store or online) and put the truck in reverse and probe the wires at the range switch, when you get a light in the test light that should be it, to verify shift out of park and the test light should go off.

Parking sensor wiring / reversing light wiring

Pretty much universal is the color coding on vehicle lights. Brown, or another color with a brown tracer/stripe, is always the running lights. You wont see an all brown wire on these newer vehicles. Always another color with the proper color tracer. Brown=run & tail-tag lights, green is right turn and brake light, yellow is left turn and brake light, and black is the ground wire to the lights. Inside cab and under dash, You need look closer for these colored tracers.all ground wires are white. This is what I've found.

My car stayed stuck in reverse. How can i get it into Park?

Ivan-
On a 3.5L v6 for 1999 in the 300M there are no plug wires. The coils, all 6 of them, fit directly over each spark plug and feed power to each plug without any high tension wires. In fact, the 300M (3.5L) has no distributor either. Timing is accomplished through a sensor on the Left cam shaft, and the flywheel on the RIGHT side of the bell housing. The computer takes care of the rest through the O2 sensors, Map sensor, TPS and some other sensors that tell the computer what the engine is doing.
SO- if you have a miss, remove the wires from each coil by unplugging them, remove (loosen) the two TORX screws (I think a 30) from each coil where it is fixed against the valve cover, and remove the coil. Then, with a long 3/8" extension and a plug socket, remove the plug. Do this one-by-one until they are all out. Keep them in a row so you know whic cylinder is doing what (I use a piece of cardboard and mark each cylinder 135(D) and 246(P) . I don't think this is the cylinger order, but looking at it, just keep in mind how you numbered them. Chanage all plugs, not just the offending one, and replace everything in reverse of the way you took it apart. If the miss persists, then a code will be generated telling you which cylinder is bad. Good luck, and GO!
