Question about 2011 Volkswagen Golf
I accidentally added petrol into my 1.6 litre VW Golf and have an opportunity to buy a low mileage 2 litre diesel motor from a wreckers. Will it fit. The engine comes complete with fuel injection system.
This will be a very expensive solution as you will need to replace the ecu wiring loom and gearbox as well then reprogram the dash board and other modules. Why not just source a 1.6 diesel engine from a vw breaker.

I wouldn't suggest it. It wouldn't be just an engine swap that you unplug and unbolt and and then reverse...thats not to say it can't be done with a lot of thinking and work and reprogramming that's usually for vw experts...your better off to keep looking at other wreckers for the exact motor
