Question about 2002 Cadillac Sts
This, to me, sounds like worn crankshaft bearings, only it's not bad enough yet to cause you to hear them in a non-stressed/non-load situation (as in when in park or neutral)
the solution to fix this varies and is not very appealing!

I had the same problem on my 2006 Lucerne and it was the engine mount located on the front of the vehicle behind the radiator.

if what your feeling is not an engine miss,
then it will be a motor mount,best chances are the front center one,,
or top trans mount
