If there is a small vent hole that goes up. If it is a butterfly type the opening when it gets hot should be up. If it is a circular type valve it does not matter except if there is a small hole that always goes up. The wax element part always goes to wards the engine.

How do i get an airlock out of a radiator

This method wotk for me... with radiator cap off, run to operating temp adding coolant as necessary. Let it cool down, repeat the procedure. Replace the cap with a 16# Stant lever valve cap.

Hope this helps.

Which thermostat do I purchase for my 1994 Dodge Stealth (automatic SOHC)? Choices are Beck/Arnley 170 Degrees F, Stant 170 Degrees F, Stant 180 Degrees F, Stant 195 Degrees F.

either of these manufactures are good just install one with the manufactures recommended temperature rating,as the wrong temp range can change how the car will run.example gas mileage, running temperature, cooling fan operation etc.

I can't get my dome light to work. Witch fuse is associated with this problem? where can i get a fuse box diagram?

GET A GOOD FUSE TESTER, TEST ALL OFF THE FUSES. THERE ARE 2 FUSEBOXES, ON UNDER THE HOOD & ONE INSIDE THE VEHICLE. ALL FUSES CAN BE CHECKED WHILE STILL IN PLACE . THERE ARE TEST POINTS FACING OUT. POWER ON ONE SIDE, BAD FUSE. POWER ON BOTH SIDES, GOOD FUSE. POWER ON NEITHER SIDE, SPARE FUSE.

I have a 96 sl saturn. takes half an hour for my car to reach running temp. When i start driving the engine cools down so far, to the point i have no hot air for my heater. I replaced the thermastat, i...

replace the thermostant again this time get a hotter temp thermostant and buy it from the dealer, the other thing is that these cars are known for the temp sensors being bad this would give you the false reading on the gauge but would not affect the heat, if its taaking a long time then i would replace the stant and this time or before replacing the stant i want you to flush out the heater core, remove the hoses from the heatercore and use a water hose to flush water through the heater core, a plugged core will not throw heat or will start to allow water to flow when it gets good and hot to flow through the retricted core due to rust and crud, try the flush first and then try a new temp sensor if the flush helps the heat, hope this is helpful good luck.
